How about a small block Plymouth 273, or 318, or 340 motor for the coupe? Very dependable and shouldn't be all that difficult to get parts for. Also, just keep them more stock as they would be a lt more power than the original old six banger flat head motor that it came with. Also, itwould be more Mopar like than a Chev or Ford motor. Just sayin'.

@@LeeAnneBeal that's definitely a consideration. I don't really want a run of the mill sbc .. I actually didn't think about a Mopar motor... I'll look into one . Fuel injected would b nice too

There are so many mopar 'LA" engine parts that will fit, I have a `55 331 With an adapter you can use electronic dist. , Dual roller timing set ( if you have the short snub cam) Harmonic balancer ,however the key way in the hemi is a quarter turn off. easy to remark.

@@dennisschoenfelder5242 I'm thinking I'm going to run it for now. It needs a home. If I have problems with it I'll swap it for something else

Go with the hemi. And just have a spare alternator and distributer in trunk if those are prone to give issues

@@jamesferrell9404 I think that's what I'm going to do. It's the perfect car for it and it's sat too long
