I love this idea, revisiting old things and improving them for us, the people. Tip: There are mist spray bottles of various cooking oils in stores and giving whatever you're cooking a light spray, it crisps up the outsides of things for negeligible additional calories

Honestly, it's not a bad idea to revisit (or, rather, retaste) the meals from the older videos every 5-6-7 years or so, especially the ones that were particularly bad or good. The ingredients and the quality may undergo a change.

Love these meals. For me though I always use the oven and I'll remove the chicken and set it on a cooking rack with tin foil underneath to catch the grease so I can get crispy chicken all-around. Butter in the corn and mashed potatoes are definitely a given and this meal has the only brownie I like though I prefer the apple desert from the Turkey and stuffing meal Hungry Man offers.

Never understood having to do all that extra work for a supposedly "convenient" meal full of salt and who knows what.. "Take out the pieces , use a grill, drain all the vegetables add several spices and condiments, rotate the pieces after you put it in the oven , flip the pieces every 5 mintues, spin the pieces , rub spices in the pieces.scrub the grill, add canned gravy etc?"?Why not just get a Costco rotisserie chicken, some frozen corn you like and make your own mashed potatoes with REAL POTATOES,butter etc. prepared the way you like it? Control over the ingredients and salt .

@@5roundsrapid263YESINDEED ! I made my own seasoning as well. Problem was it would get hard as a rock. So I thought "Oh yeah, so that's how it's going to be huh ? ...OK." Then all I did after that was liquified it, and I keep it refrigerated. After mixing the desired ingredients, it can be liquified using vinegar, Whorstershire sauce, chicken/beef broth, French onion soup, water, etc. I don't add salt or pepper for obvious reasons, since so many ingredients I use already contained them. I call it "MAGIC JUICE", because that's exactly what it is.

I like these too. If your not in a hurry, The way I do them is to peel up the corner and add some water to the corn and a bit of butter and salt then I put the film back down. Some added butter to the potatoes wouldn't hurt as well. I keep the film over everything while baking in regular oven. I Preheat to 350 F and when I put the dinner in the oven I lower the temperature to 325. Bake for about 30 minutes and then lower the temperature to 275 and bake for another 60 minutes. The water added to the corn keeps the brownie from drying out and the extended baking time even with the film over the whole thing still results with some nice crispy chicken. And if things need seriously need rearranged I'll just pull off all the film and replace it with aluminium foil. With a tiny vent hole over the chicken. And in the last 15 minutes you can uncover the chicken and flip if needed and bake a little longer to go extra crispy if preferred. And get some coleslaw for a side dish. YUM!

The apple is in the spicy chicken dinner, along with mixed vegetables. The butter and a little pepper go a long way with the sides.

I still fondly remember when Hungryman had real bone-in chicken legs and thighs. Those were very good.

My Recommendation for Michelina's Cheeseburger Mac: Take the top semi off and cook in microwave for 3 minutes. stir with a plastic knife, put in Salt, Course Black Pepper and Smoked Paprika. Put back in microwave for 2 minutes. once done let sit for 1-2 minutes. enjoy.

I have to agree with his original assessment. Convenience Meals are bought to eliminate extra steps and minimize cooking utensils and equipment. Screw that, and make it yourself even if it's a Costco Chicken, Packaged Mashed Potatoes, a Can of Corn, and a package of Pre-Made Brownies.

Great video, revisiting old topics with a fresh prospective would be a fun series. I'd watch them!

Whenever I get a frozen dinner, I mic them until they’re thawed, then go full-on Robin Hood, pull out the frying pan, and throw the rules out the window.
