Finally Driving The $400 Mk5 Jetta & a LIQUI MOLY Engine Flush!

What better motivation did we need to finally fix the $400 Jetta than for Ralph to break his oil pan on his only driving vehicle currently 😅

The snow had been pretty heavy from a recent snow storm but luckily we weren’t too far from finishing this car. After digging the car out we realized we needed to make a quick trip to the junkyard & boy what an adventure that was! Walking through the aisles of cars ankle deep in snow, stepping on top of car parts without knowing what’s under our feet, & digging through snow covered engine bays. We finally found some of the missing pieces to the $400 Mk5 puzzle !
Once the junkyard parts go in the Jetta, I took it for a test drive. It did great !!! A little slop in the shifter but that’ll get fixed later. The big thing was, Ralph finally could register the car & drive home that same day !
Cut to a few days later & Ralph says the car is running great so far. It did need some maintenance right away though so I decided it was time for a LIQUI MOLY engine flush & oil change using a Hengst oil filter.
