Awesome! Check the ventilation system drains. I got tons of water in the car, due to clogged drains. There is one on each side and they exits on the left and right of the transmission. Blowing compressed air through them will fix it. If you can't go under the car, the little tubing is white/transparent and can be seen by pulling the carpet right to the side of the gas pedal. Have fun!

The flaps in the main heater box are electrically controlled. The flaps in the dash are vacuum controlled so you need to build vacuum before they will.operate, it is worth checking the pipework and vacuum tank for leaks

You're a great source for fixes for us other guys with old jags! I'm hoping this is fairly similar to how a x300 heater works? I've not got proper heat either. It's not quite the same problem as you, but mine's just lukewarm, and just isn't comfortable in winter. Also there's something vibrating my steering column every few seconds, like an electrical motor trying to do something? Heater controls maybe? The workshop manual I bought just doesn't cover this.

I was just wondering if, you cleared the guttering at the bottom of the windscreen under the bonnet.? Might help something along 🤔

Hope it's not a rotten bulkhead. Maybe the ducksbill is blocked and the bulkhead is not draining. Could be causing your leak. Pull the two rubber ducksbills off and throw them away.

I bet the Dubai heat dried out some of the lubricants in the heating hinges and bearings….
