I just noticed that in the *chorus* that comes after when they go back and forth (“I got a spark in me - I got a spark in me...”) Madi is singing the “yeah yeah” so in the Netflix version she is not singing the melody (because, as in the show it’s a live performance, she couldn’t be doing both things at the same time) and so Jeremy (Reggie) sings the melody of the chorus with Charlie, but in the recorded version Madi sings the melody as well as the “yeah yeah”. That’s sooo cool!! I love that they did that, it’s so much more realistic

As much as I love "Finally Free" & "Perfect Harmony", I think the reason the JatP fandom as a whole loves these songs so much is due to the context of the song within the show. When listening to the song separately, w/o having watched the show, they don't have quite the same impact. A lot of people doing blind song reactions get tons of requests for these songs, but because they lack the rapport that fandom has with these characters and the understanding of the storylines surrounding the songs, the reactors don't have the same connections to these songs that fans of the show have. Same with "Unsaid Emily"; the context of the song within the show shapes your perception of the song in general. Not that there is anything wrong with that! Just offering a possible reason for why these songs are the ones more highly revered by fans of the show. Anyway, great video! Love hearing your opinions on these songs!

Julie is the central character. This is the song where Luke(Charlie) kinda falls for her. Her voice has to be showcased here ("...watch me shine...") to make that plausible. It's not meant to merge.

I watch my fair share of julie and the phantom reactions, but you throw knowledge out there that I didn't need to know, but is so interesting to hear. When you talk about the technical music stuff I just nod along as if I get it, but I 100% dont and that's okay I have so many of these songs on repeat right now and I really like hearing what you enjoy from each one, but also the improvements that could be made.
