@@tonym2513 My 2016 Pioneer 1000-3 EPS now has over 6,800 miles. Other than a stripped out steering joint/knuckle, it hasn’t gave me any problems. Honda covered the steering joint 100% under a recall. If I was to ever buy another side x side, it would be a Pioneer 1000. I wouldn’t look at anything else. My daddy has a 2023 Pioneer 700-4 and was thinking about trading it in on a Pioneer 1000. His 700 don’t have power steering and it’s a huge noticeable difference.

I ordered the Honda "Hell" edition from Bring it Customs. It melted a hole in my dump bed from the motor heat but all I did was make that my Ice chest hole.

Honda is on the right track with the Pioneer. Good to see them being proactive with the updates, they seem to be on a roll since changing the reverse operation on the Foreman. And they have some sweet bikes about to hit showroom floors (Africa Twin 750). Im just pumped for more than "Bold New Graffics!"

Hey if you haven't figured it out yet that 2nd cable that only works when it's in park is for the rear diff lock it locks it when you put it in park kinda of an override so it dosent stay open in park.

I just ordered Texas tough customs 3 inch lift with 6 inch portels and it allowed me to select the year 2022 I hope the nuts will fit on the axles if not I’ll let you know and get some from you

I like it, I looked at one, but I went with a Yamaha Wolverine X2 850 instead for a number of reasons. Seating position and adjustability was first and foremost. If you're not comfortable for all day riding it isn't fun which I found on my P700-4. I had one $30 boot rip on my P700 after 7,000km. Bulletproof machine. I do love that dual clutch transmission and I'll be hating the CVT maintenance on the Yamaha. However, Yamaha has the best CVT in the business. Each machine has it's advantages and disadvantages.

You're comparing apples to oranges..The Yamaha is a good machine but it ain't no utility rig , more of a sport rig.The beds too small and only 2 seats is a total deal breaker .

Thanks for the nice walk-thru. It’s cool to see the mechanical details you pointed out. I was bummed when I learned that none of the new models have the LED headlights anymore. Supply issue is what I heard, but then again, you hear that for everything 😂.

@@MudPuppyOffroad Cool. Are they the whole headlight bucket or just LED bulbs? If it’s the whole headlight, do you have a link? I’ve been wanting to swap out the headlight assembly on my Rubicon and the ones from the Pioneer supposedly fit. If it’s just the bulbs, curious as to which you went with. I did multiple reviews on some bulbs on my channel. Wasn’t that thrilled with the light pattern on the bulbs for the headlights. Thanks. Much appreciated.

have watched a ton of your videos love them all your a wealth of knowledge for sure!! my question is I always hear the pioneer and talon has same motor and trans etc... but I noticed the pioneer has like 30 less HP why is that what is the difference and what needs to be done to match the talon HP?

So the 2022 Pioneer is a lot more common with the talon as far as motor and it probably only has 20 less horsepower. The big difference is the intake. The Pioneer throttle body and air box has to fit between the bed and the back seat. The talon has a lot more space for a high flow intake. Tune obviously plays a huge role as well

Will be nice to see a review on the different 4 drive modes - 2nd, 4wd, diff lock and turf mode- I see where the trail and forest does not have the diff lock drive mode…kind of wondering if you would ever use the diff lock .. thanks for the videos

I use diff lock constantly if you want fake 4 wheel drive then get a Honda Talon way better suspension the same drivetrain as the trail

@@MudPuppyOffroad thanks for the response- like the rubicon has the red button you push in for front lock diff, on your pioneer you have 2nd lock and 4wd lock then you have all lock, I’m trying to figure out what mode is equivalent to the red button you use for the rubicon-- I cool idea you can always change the suspension and add the fox shocks to your Deluxe right?

@@bruce9063 yep I could definitely add the fox shocks easily but I'm going to try to do something better than that more long travel. The red button on the Rubicon is the same as four-wheel drive lock on the pioneer base/delux.

Love to see lower reverse and lower high range" dif-lock is better than the brakes getting wet and not having true 4x4. I love mine it's 2021. Cannot beat a Honda" it starts and runs every time. Worth the price and wait. Step it up honda " you will sell more" I know of three people that bought other sxs's cause honda could NOT KEEP UP WITH THE DEMAND.

It’s good he got it for 22 because for 2023 on pretty much anything Honda especially all the atvs and stuff there is a $400 price increase on almost everything they sell and there changing pretty much nothing so now it will cost you $400 more than anything did in 2022 and there making no changes pretty much for 2023 unless it’s the 6 seater pionner.

Would be cool for sure but the differentials won't handle it so you would need to use Pioneer differentials and then you would need custom axles and by the time you did all that it would be like basically driving a pioneer...
