You mentioned rethinking strategy.... Wizard of Odds suggests that the minimum hand that should be played is Q 6 4. It is hard to win though unless the dealer doesn't qualify.

First time I went to the casino with my son I played 3 card poker and he was at a slot machine close by. My first hand was trips. I told my son and he came over to join me at the table.

I love 3 Card. Play Q--6-4 minimum...Please don't fold...or just play blind. And once you turn over that first Ace or King, you don't have to turn over any more cards. Just play.

I may be wrong but the straight pays 30 -1 and the flush pays 40-1, so doesn't that mean. the flush beats the straight. (12:08)

Nope. straight beats a flush in 3 card and your odds are on the pairs plus trips & straight flush respectively

No don’t play blind. I play Q64 or better. Also, I think you’re better off upping your bet on the Pair Plus rather than the ante but that’s my opinion. Pair Plus payouts can be nice.
