Dude!!! I am so happy for you! I know you have to be proud when one of your products comes back successful. I don't think I have wanted an AF bow more than right now! Beautiful! Love the grip placement. I wonder how the change in counterweight will affect khatra. I love seeing your excitement and passion on stuff like this. Keep your head up and keep going strong. It will pay off, and I'm sure your recognition in archery will be more than you imagine. Companies wouldn't be using your ideas if you were not on to some great things. I'm hoping to have a "SUPER" bow someday. I think the Babylon is probably my favorite bow I have seen you work with. I haven't shot an AF bow yet. They look pretty fun! Thanks for sharing. Much love bro!

How would one order the green and orange bow? Also, what if someone doesn’t use WhatsApp?
@bambooarchery4 ай бұрын
@@blorchdude4 there's a few ways you can reach out to me. If you don't have WhatsApp, you can use Facebook messenger and contact me via Bamboo Archery - Malaysia or my personal account Ronald Chong Kok Hoong. WhatsApp has largely replaced our sms or other messaging services globally, though it's hasn't fully catch on in the USA.

I also have a confusion, let say i have a 45# bow, with recommended arrow 9points. So that would give me an arrow weight of 405, now taking gpi and gpp , how do I choose the arrow, I'm assuming 405 is the complete weight of the arrow, so what weight spine and what weight points tips should I get, is there a math for this too? How do I balance both to get a good arrow?
@bambooarchery5 ай бұрын
@@mickypamei6629 the poundage of a bow only tell half the story. You need to know your drawlength. A 45# 28" bow is most likely not 45# at your full draw. Let's say your drawlength is 30", and the bow is actually 50# at that drawlength. If you know the minimum gpp on the bow is 9, you absolutely do not want to use 9 as your multiplier. Give it some margin of error, let's say 10gpp. Then 50# real draw weight at your full draw × 10 = 500grain. The arrow gpi is useless. It's probably one of the most useless information because often the real arrow gpi isn't even the same as claimed. Example the arrow claims 7gpi, meaning every 1" is 7 grains. Then a 31" arrow shaft alone is 7×31=217gr. But unfortunately, that information is often wrong, so you need to measure the real arrow shaft, which might be 250gr despite what it claims. Since you know you need 500gr and the shaft alone is 250gr, you need another 250gr. Nock + feathers usually give you 25-30gr. So the remaining weight will have to be your point + insert. Super simple.

@@bambooarchery thank you so much. That explanation I understood. Iv been saving for quite some time for a good bow, so definitely getting a good one that I can pass on to my kid.

you should become a bowyer.
@bambooarchery5 ай бұрын
@@yerde I did thought about it but the amount I make per bow sale is just so small. So even if I build bows non-stop, I couldn't make enough bows to cover operation cost at all. It's definitely a money losing business and it's pretty obvious. Just look at how much Olympic recurves sell for vs a high-end custom-made traditional bow. The modern bow can sell for so much higher despite being mass produced with cnc machines, and the assembly/tillering/tuning is done by the user themselves 🤣. Modern bow very low cost, very high profit. Traditional bow very labor intensive, very low profit

@@bambooarchery How expensive is to craft a laminate bow? Did you try crafting hornbows? They are pretty expensive.
@bambooarchery5 ай бұрын
@@yerde hornbow in terms of material cost is actually dead cheap, even cheaper than laminated bow. Much of the material comes as excess and waste product from slaughter house. The raw materials have low market demand because nobody use them for anything anymore. Main cost is actually labor and time.
