During my first ever New Vegas playthrough I took all of the experience perks so I ended up hitting level 50 before even starting Lonesome Road I'm pretty sure I might have not even met Benny at the casino at that point

Unironically the vod channel is my melatonin. I started watching because I cannot wait until the next Joov video but I am stream watcher, it puts me right to sleep but I do love it. Also endless dungeon is INSANE very excited for the rebalanced, checkpoints seem alright and some progressing debuff would be cool to keep the challenge... Challenging

As far as the dungeon crawl: a lot of rogue-likes include some kind of permanent buffs to earn. Maybe something like getting a top score of 5 lets you start with 10 lockpicks? 10 lets you start with three basic healing potions? Or maybe your high score is the number of points you can spend on equipment before a run. With a highscore of 5, you might choose to spend 3 points to start with an iron shield, and two more points to start with an iron sword, or go all in and spend all 5 points to start with a warhammer.

can confirm: ive never been able to play NV. over 4 computers, it either didnt run or crashed constantly (every 5-10 mins).

It's crazy that it used to be pretty okay for me on the Xbox 360 (needed a restart every couple of hours to mitigate memory leaks), but on a 2022 gaming PC it constantly crashes, regardless of which anti-crash mods I try. Great game, but the buggiest software I've ever used.

Runs great on XBox One, and I did about 30 hours so far on modded New Vegas on my 6-year old laptop, and it hasn't crashed yet.

I was in jail for misdemeanor failure to appear. It's pretty much the first thing someone asks. From what I understand, it's a way to determine what kind of person you are/how much of a danger you are. Plus it's a decent conversation starter. Keep in mind: I was just in county lockup, not a federal penitentiary

Hey Joov the easiest way for a Caravan win is to have the only numbered cards in your deck be 10, 9, and 7. that allows for the easiest combination for a 26

I've been playing recently too, just started another playthrough. Festus actually describes what others thought sunset sarsaparilla tastes like, and it's hilarious. Definitely a hyperbole of irl soda. Also learning caravan is a good investment to get all the implants early on!

You can get New Vegas to crash on command by going through doors in the right order, thus avoiding memory purges and storing more location in memory than it can hold.

I got unreasonably angry watching you fail at caravan so hard. On the off chance you see this joov, a simplified rules explanation: Aces count as 1, there is nothing special about them. Numbered cards are just whatever number is on them. Caravans can either ascend or descend in order, but not both. A queen reverses this order. You need all 3 caravans to be between 21 and 26, and neither 21 or 26 are better or worse, a winning hand is just anything in that range. Alternatively, if your opponent has no caravans in the range of 21-26 and you have 2 that are you can win without getting all 3 - this can also be done against you, so don't take too long getting a caravan to 21-26. A king doubles the value of a card it's on and a jack removes a card. All face cards may be places on both your cards and your opponents. Kings may be used to put their caravan over 26, which forces them to either use a jack to remove a card or discard the entire track. You'll want most of your deck to be high numbers and a few low numbers, as well as every jack, queen, and king you have. Pick cards all from the same suite so that you can occasionally circumvent the ascension/descension order if you need. No-Bark in Novac has way more money than he should, he's great for early game money from caravan - ncr ambassador also has a lot of caravan money once you get to the strip.

Also, you should almost never discard a card, you could have been piling all those small numbers on top of the ace the first time but you instead just completely wasted your turn. You don't gain anything from discarding, should only be done when you don't have any moves (i.e all of your cards would push you over 26)
