Another van lifer You Tuber I follow posted on her Q and A regarding FAQ's she gets and the number one thing she recommends doing from the start is getting your windows tinted for safety and privacy, no matter what type of vehicle you're staying in. I'm sure he's planning that but that came to me as I was watching this video regarding his concerns for Lars' safety.

You need to cover the windows with newspaper or brown paper and the rear lights because paint will splatter when you don’t realize it is! Good luck and blessings!

I was going to say the same thing. I painted my car this way when I was younger. Couldn't remember what I used to cover the windows, but I did cover them. It looks like he has some overspray that's on the windows.

Good job so far, just make sure you keep the heat out. I'm in GA so we both know how hot it gets. Sunday is the most humid day so far. Lars will love what you're doing for him as far as the heat goes. Been with you since day one and always will. Love ya both❤

Before you install all your gadgets in the new van, perhaps invest in darker tint on your windows for privacy and protection, especially for Lars when you're away. And while waiting to paint start with building the inside. Thought you would have the bed built first. Good luck!

Wish he would have used the rubber wheel to take of the old stickers and just buffed the vehicle, then no wasted funds on repainting it's existing color. Matteo please do extensive research before making any decisions. It'll save time, money and give you time to be sure of choices. Like repainting, any search will show you prep beforehand.

Dude, ypu are the best cook! I'm making those burritos and guacamole! It looked phenomenal. Have you ever thought of being a chef? You make the best food! Those lights are epic! You have to understand you post your life and home online there are always going to be someone that’s going to spot you out. It’s better to have a van that doesn’t stand out.. I live a block from the beach so we get a lot of vans parking in our neighborhood.. and I do take notice to the ones with special paint jobs and so does parking enforcement.. it’s easy to remember that van has been here for a week, month, etc. but the basic white ones I don’t even notice.. they just blend in with other vehicles.

Hi Mateo, I went for an ultrasound recently and sadly they have found another suspicious lesion on my one remaining ovary after losing the other to cancer some years back, I was told the painful truth that it will have to removed and I can no longer have children, I am really quite lost and devastated and currently don't feel much like a woman at all, (for anyone else struggling with fertility this is now how I see you, just how I feel about myself) I am really grateful for the time you take out of your day to share your life with us Mateo, I can't tell you the temporary escape it offers me into your world or peace, smiles and Lars xxx

Honey I had my hysterectomy at 21 and never felt like less of a woman. I took hormones only the five days I was in the hospital and the hot flashes nearly killed me. Stopped taking them when I went home and I am almost 70 and have not had one hotflash EVER since stopping hormones. But organs dont make a woman and if you cant have children there are millions in foster home that want a mom as much as you want a child. I was a foster parent for many years and their children are my grandchildren. Every single child who stayed with me was long term and every one of them still call me mom. THere are many ways to be a mother and blood does not make you love them more.

I think your plan is good. I loved the color but the first thing I thought was theft. I don't think you should pull off the ceiling either, cos those are nice lights. For building out your van try restore or habitat for humanity they have cupboards probably just what you need for kitchen area you can put 2 or more together at the right height to make sleeping area with storage and doors underneath the bed if you don't see what you want keep going back.

Really glad you decided against painting the van yourself, at least with rollers. A spray will not leave streaks like a roller will. Also agree with your idea to remain stealth at this point. That little astronaut is AWESOME!! You should totally chill with it while listening to Pink Floyd: Dark side of the Moon! There's a college in Illinois, Triton College, used to do a laser light show with Dark Side of The Moon as the soundtrack. It was amazing. Now the Adler Planetarium in Chicago has a matinee show of the same ilk! RE: the Japanese knife. Um, um, um...it kinda looks like a student's first attempt. There's no tang, no handle, no balance. That HAS to be the most awkward and uncomfortable knife ever. Also, paring knives do come in many shapes but there's always a handle because the blade is so short there has to be something for the palm of your hand to guide it. This knife has the shortest, tiny end and your fingers are going to get REALLY sore using it for too long. The blade isn't finished, it's uneven and there's no defined "edge." It's kinda neat as a collector's piece but I'd never use it, or at least not for long. Totally love that you grabbed a Mexican coke!! That's the BEST Coke, EVER!!! Made with 100% real cane sugar instead of HFCS! There's nothing like it! (Well, except during Passover when you can find Cane Sugar coke in 2ltr bottles with a Yellow Cap! K for Kosher for Passover! as HFCS is considered to be a leavening agent.) But there's something special about having a coke in a glass bottle. Lars is gonna try to catch those "stars!" Love it!! That moth was really pretty!! Thanks for sharing that! I miss seeing cabbage moths around where I am.
