Make no mistake about it…LARS IS THE BOSS!!! He needs that WHOLE cubby as his kitty Kat Krib!!! Sell the vintage TV and get a small flat screen that you can hide (slide) behind a cabinet you build. Deck his space out with lil kitty style decorations and a lil guard rail so he doesn’t fall off while you’re driving. I’m beyond excited to watch where this journey takes you two!!

The best $300 i ever spent was adding a remote starter to my car. I took my dog everywhere. I could make a quick pit stop and start my car remotely. It would run for 20 minutes with my AC or heater running to keep my bubby comfortable. He crossed the rainbow bridge 7 months ago. Best dog ever. He loved a car ride! #winterisblu

Simple is better. Dude I started building a van a year ago. My mistake was trying to keep up with the fancy builds I was seeing online and it got expensive quick! Kinda wished I just threw a bed in it, some stick on puck lights and a portable jackery and hit the road. Now I'm too deep in the build and trying to get the money to finish it up lol

For some reason this reminded me of having a kid. You buy all the stuff for a new baby but then learn it's best to get what you need when you need it. Otherwise you end up with stuff you won't need or use.

Your on the right track . Take a few 1 or 2 day trips with the bed on the floor. The rest will " build itself" . Less is more. Keep it simple .

Yeah, I heard Bob Wells say keep it simple and give yourself plenty of counter top space. The rest will follow. Of course, insulation is important, so to aesthetics, but functionality is paramount, and that happens on the road living in them. All of us have different needs to. What works for one person might not work for someone else.

For the litter box...I use a Rubbermaid storage box w a cover and cut a hole, almost halfway (then the litter doesn't get a mess). There is no smell in my apartment. No one knows I have a cat, until she greets them lol.

Corn litter! You don't need to change it like other litters, just open a new bag and dump it on when the box gets low and it never stinks.

Mateo tractor supply sells a 40lb bag of pine pellets for $7 it’s way cheaper than litter and no smell, also no tracking and dust. You’ll just need a sifting box.

A friend of ours uses those on his patio for a giant dog litter box since the yard is all concrete. Super affordable, tidy, and there's never any odor. 👍🏾

I think you should get thin plywood for the ceiling. You could stain or paint it to look like nicer quality wood. Cut it into thin strips to create that lovely wood ceiling look but cheaper, less weight and the plywood can easily be bent into position. It would allow you to keep the height you’re wanting but still have a nice finished look to it.

Hi Mateo 👋 Might I suggest maybe putting Lars cat tree up front so he can go into that space above the drivers seat he likes to go to and putting an enclosed kitty litter box at the bottom so he can enter through the back and all litter is contained in that area, you can also make it so you can pull it out to clean it. I used to live in an apartment with my 3 kitties and had to keep them hid, I wasn’t suppose to have them, I was very inventive with ways to hide the litter boxes Good luck, give Lars a kiss for me 💋 Susie in Michigan You like Karen Carpenter??? 😮 I’m impressed ❤❤❤, I always tried to sing like her when I was young, well I guess I still do lol

Just a culinary tip. Cutting your peppers flesh side down will be easier. Cutting through the outside actually dulls your knife. Just a tip. Great video.

I've never seen someone walk a cat; that's so awesome. He seems like a sweet kitty. I would research about the incense around him though, especially in that small space. I know several essential oils are toxic and some fatal to cats but I'm not sure about incense. 🤔

I like that your building slow and visualizing the many ways it could be.Different seasons will present unique requests,no drafts,muddy shoes,fuel for heat and for cooking.Have you thought about checking out Habitat for Humanity stores ? They are a nonprofit who work with people building their own homes,but their stores get many donations from older homes,you may find the wood,fixtures,sink, cupboards are there waiting for you.Its hit or miss,they usually have a website for each state,phone number.Lars looks divine bathed in purple light, doesn't he ? There are puck lights that are 12V so you can wire them in to your electric system. I agree that simple is cool, but since you do a lot of cooking, you'll need to ensure you have good infrastructure for that. A reminder to consider making it so you can move your cookstove outside for full flexibility. Glad to see you making progress. In my experience, the teardown of the original interior is the worst, hardest part.
