I have the original Catch 120. It's a good to great kayak. I've owned it for 8 years now, and never had an issue with the fused hull. The only issue(s) I've encountered with the Catch 120 has been tracking, and I wore a hole in the bottom of one of the pontoons due to dragging it over asphalt too many times (my fault). I repaired using plastic welding materials, and now I have reinforced it with Kydex. Looking forward to another 8 years with it. The Mode looks cool too.

I've had an original Catch 120 for 8 years now and the fused hull construction has been tough as nails. I do store it inside, not out in the summer heat and cold winter. I stand in it more than sit and have it on the water 2 or 3 times a week. That's a lot of time on the water in 8 years. Your 110 appears to be even more stable for standing.

Please do a comparison or give me your thoughts on the Pelican Catch Mode 110 vs the Pelican Catch PWR 100. I can't find any videos or comparisons in general of the two. I'm torn between them. Think I would love the Catch Mode 110 but am wondering if the extra width and stability is worth the price difference for the PWR100

Wassup dude - just found this channel- thanks for an informative video - I've got a Catch Mode 110 on the way as I speak - I was wonderin about the size of the "kayak crate" depression in back of the seat - I'm thinking about also getting me a Yakattack crate before my kayak arrives and would like to know - if you could answer in the comments that'd be great - I'll check your channel and look forward to some Catch Mode fishing videos from you - thanks again

i was going to add this bit to this video and i forgot lol, so I just went downstairs, took my 16 by 16 blackpack and it fits perfectly in the tankwell, but you should not add rodholders to the section of the blackpack that goes direclty behind the seat, there is plenty of space but if you like to seat back on the seat and strech, the backrest my touch the rodholders and get weird. If you do order the blackpak online please use my afffiliate links (amazon) amzn.to/3TUMOxe or ecofishing ecofishingshop.com/products/yakattack-blackpak-pro-kayak-fishing-crate-16-x-16?aff=26

You literally cannot beat the 130 pedal drive. H2. Yeah, there's a lot more stable kayaks out there. And i've owned several of them but I can grab my pelican like i've said many times don't it over shoulder climber A fence whatever I have to do. I personally don't stand in mind if I'm gonna fish. A lake where I wanna stand I take my 3 water 108 I originally had the field free Dorado, which is a Beast just as heavy as the 3 water that cost more. But I still love my Pelican. It's the one I. Grab most because I do a lot of river fishing. Thank you for your reviews. They have helped me decide on kayaks. And definitely the ones i'm not gonna buy.

Looks like you have a lot of experience with kayaks so I’ll ask your opinion….I’m looking to buy my first kayak for fishing and I’m not sure what to get or where to start. I was going to buy a basic Ascend 10T sit on top kayak but the reviews weren’t that great. I definitely want something quality made but I know that comes with a high price. What are some fishing kayaks you would recommend that are sit on top, high quality, light enough to car top and get it in and out of the water by myself and stable? My budget is around $1,500…I’ve been looking at this VIBE Makana 100 which is a pedal drive fishing kayak for $1,600….what’s your thoughts on VIBE kayaks are they quality kayaks?
@AliexFolgueira9 ай бұрын
haha as i was reading your comment i was thinking MAKNA, why it has pedal drive and then you mentioned lol, the makana is stable, fast and super easy to car top, you can upgrade the drive to the hobie drive if you want to spend that money or also use the impulse drive with reverse, point is it gives you options, i have tons of videos with the makana in this channel just search "makana aliex" there were some issues with the x drive but i have been told that was already corrected, another kayak with a pedal drive you can look at is the feelfree moken 10 pdl, i enjoy using that kayak, has a wheel and you can car top it easy, you can find those video by searching aliex feelfree moken 10 pdl, also ready the comments lots of owners commented on the videos. Hope this helps :) thanks

@@AliexFolgueira - How is the quality of Vibe kayaks though? I’ve heard stories of some kayaks like the Ascend brand warping and the material being thin. I absolutely want to avoid any of that. Especially with how much I would be paying. Also, I notice this Vibe Makana has fin propulsion compared to some pedal drives that have propeller propulsion….what’s the difference in the two? Is one better then the other?
@AliexFolgueira9 ай бұрын
@greeneyesfromohio4103 every kayak is made out of plastic, there will be issues, the main thing is do they honor the warranty? I mean even ,super expensive hobies break, there are posts daily on Facebook, I have my shearwater for years now hasn't broken, makana held up nicely too, now ascend, I'm sorry but their build quality is bad! And they are owned by bass pro which is sad, they should make them better

@@greeneyesfromohio4103 propel drive has reverse but slower on the makana, the fin drive is faster and easier to use in shallows I would probably go fin drive in this case, for example I bought the hobie drive for mine
