Great course! Really fun on a good day, feels like running upstairs backwards on a bad day! Definetley scorable but if score isn't your goal and just getting outside on a beautiful property and having fun with the crew is... one of the best around!! Thanks for watching!!

Congrats on 400 subs, my dudes! I'm one of those locals that isnt a big fan of Hornets Nest. I used to live in the area a few years ago, and i went to Nevin much more. The front 9 at Hornet's, specifically the road holes, are not very good holes and can be annoying during a busy park day. I feel Nevin has much more enjoyable holes to play. I am only comparing the two courses since they are within a few miles of one another and are elite level 🤙
@parkdandrecd4 ай бұрын
Thanks man!! I can agree with that comparison. And how lucky are we to have that comparison!! I can have a great time at either no matter how I’m playing but Nevin def has, by far, a better feel to it. Sometimes on busy days at hornets some of the road holes are unplayable because people park in the fairway. But, it’s everyone’s park so I just shrug my shoulders and move on to the next. Luckily there’s two extra holes 😂

Charlotte local: it’s pretty hard to get to relative to the city but it’s a fantastic course and the 12-18 stretch is truly phenomenal and feels like you’re playing pro style DG on teepads especially with the 15 Mando and 16 Walk up spot.
@parkdandrecd9 күн бұрын
They call 15 “The Gaunlet.” Super tight but rewarding when you slip on through there. I’ve always loved that decking on 16! If you haven’t seen the DGPT when Nathan Queen parked it down the left gap, it’s a great watch!

Stumbled across your channel. Really enjoyed the video. I really like how you explained the hole, strategy etc. Great camera work and editing as well. I'm really curious about Mike's putting style. He really seems to generate a lot of power from such a short compact throw. Outside 20 feet, my accuracy drops significantly. I'm looking forward to the rabbit hole of your videos. :)
@parkdandrecd4 ай бұрын
Glad you liked the video! Hopefully you enjoy the rest just as much!! We basically try and make preview videos. Informational enough to where, if you haven’t played the course, you have pretty good idea of what to expect but entertaining enough to where if you have, it’s still watchable! We also want it to feel like a round with the boys!(or girls of course) Mikes putt is nasty!! I’ve tried that type of putting, it’s really not easy. But he’s absolutely deadly with it. It’s basically the same putt from the circle to around 100’! I’ve recently gone to a straddle putt. I don’t think it gives me more spin necessarily but allows for more power since I can reach back pretty far between my legs. I tried pulling back to my hip more for power when I was staggered stance, but the straddle was more comfortable.

You guys should try doing some 9 hole challenge videos(spin the wheel, ript revenge, etc)

I’ve been waiting for this comment!! I saw foundation using that crazy caddy game from disc golf pins. That looks pretty fun too. We’ll look into it!! Thanks for the recommendation!
@ChrisPlaysDG4 ай бұрын
@parkdandrecd Haha, yes I saw that on Foundation's channel too! It looks pretty cool, i was thinking about picking one up eventually. Wheel spin challenges are pretty fun because of the variety and randomness. You can always put new stuff on the wheel. We did one for the first time a few weeks ago, and I'm just now getting around to editing it 😅

Last time I was there recently like a few weeks ago the island on 2 was up, a classic play: makes a hell of a difference in the beginning it just makes it way easier to roll into hole 3 which absolutely sucks(hole 3 alone may be another reason why Charlotte folk don’t fw it😭)
@parkdandrecd9 күн бұрын
Oh lucky you! I’ve only played the island hole twice and both were for tournaments. 3 is tricky. If you’re not a big forehand guy, like me, it’s tough to get a good shot up for bird. The short pin is much more doable but doesn’t change the tee shot

Subbed. I really like the format/editing and the audio is great. I am 60 yo and my 27 yo son and I play together regularly. I'd like to have some quality videos for years down the road....for memories... Would you mind sharing your recording setup?
@parkdandrecd4 ай бұрын
Thank you!! No problem, I definitely feel that sentiment! We shoot on a Sony a7iii with the Sony 24-105 G OSS lens. The camera body itself is a bit older, you may be able to find one at a decent price at this point. We use the DJI mics. Edit on FCPX. Aaaaaand I think that’s about it. I’d say it’s more of a PROsumer setup as opposed to a CONsumer setup. I use it for my day job so it’s slightly better/pricier than your average setup. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for subscribing and commenting!!

Great video! If 8b is one of your favorite ace runs, what's another one you haven't ace? Mine would be 8a Kilborne (1 chainout).

For me (Tyler) off the top of my head comes short 9 at scrapyard. Maybe because it’s my home course but I feel like a putter backhand turning over smashing chains before it gets sent into the pond would be a thing of beauty. Obviously 16 at Bradford also. I got 8a at kilborne with a skip Draco!! It was a second shot though. Just messing around. But called it before I did it! Thanks for a great question, maybe Mike and Brandon will chime in too!

Sorry for the late response. I’m pretty sure I saw that on FB!! Thank you so much for doing that. That’s the way we want to grow. Organically. We’ve certainly thought about collabs, and I think we may be getting to a point where that would make sense. The product is decent enough, I think, to where other creators wouldn’t be embarrassed to be on the channel 😂 But seriously thank so much for the suggestion and the continued support. Comments/suggestions always come first and that’s a good one so we’ll work on it!!
