Pennzoil Platinum and AC Delco filter. Doesn’t get better than that for this application. Literally. Any slicker oil like Amsoil will cause roller rocker wheel slippage. Meaning the oil is so slick there’s not enough friction for the rocker wheel to rotate on the valve stem causing flat spots on the roller wheel, resulting in oval roller wheels and valvetrain tap because of it. As far as the filter, excellent flow or excellent filtration. Pick one. You can’t have both in said given space of the factory oil filter nor can you have both without a stronger oil pump. NO oil filter besides AC Delco offers an optimum of both nor does any other oil filter brand have bigger oil inlet and outlet holes along with an optimum rated bypass valve. In other words IF AC Delco oil filters had a stronger ( coil ) spring bypass valve instead of a weaker leaf spring type it would take a toll on the oil pump when the filter starts to get dirty. Take that nugget of knowledge for what it’s worth. Do buy into the hype, buy into facts. Facts can be proven, opinions are just that. And those my friend are the facts. And comes from 24 years of expensive experience from an obsessed Rwd GM guy and mechanic. All Fwd GM’s are 🗑

Love the channel! I just purchased a 4th gen 6.7. Was driving a 7.3 power stroke before that. But loving the videos on the truck. Just purchased air dog 165 4g, bean machine sump, fuel rail plug and a fuel filter delete. Have a tuner and a csp5 switch. Love the truck having a issue with a cel. Trying to figure it out saying it’s fuel rail pressure will get it hopefully lol. But thanks for the videos appreciate them a lot for diy guy like me.

Same like checking spark on any gas car. U can do old school way and pull plug and see if it spark when u crank it or u can buy an actual spark plug tester on Amazon.
