I know I’m 2 years late but you’re not alone with liking Crooked Kingdom more. I literally cried more while reading CK. Nina and Matthias were def my favorite couple (Nina, Wylan, Inej and Matthias are my favorite characters) I gave both books 5 stars but I def liked CK more. Also, my stupid as* was googling stuff about the crows while reading SOC bc i’m so curious and I read on the Grisha Wiki that Matthias’ status is Dead 😭

Girl yes, I need to read this duology. You know how I feel about Shadow and Bone but I’m putting all my hopes in Six of Crows. I have a hunch I’m gonna like it. The lights on the bookshelves look cool!

Oh my god I could not imagine what I would've felt if I got spoiled about Matthias death! Also- the entire time I was reading this series, I refused to think of any of them as teenagers, because there was literally no way 😅 And I loved both books a lot but I think Crooked Kingdom was a bit better. Thanks for this reading vlog- definitely earned yourself a new subscriber ^^

!!*idk if anyone will read this, but this comment has spoilers for the duology*!! Ahhhh I'm so glad you loved them! In my mind when I was reading SoC they were all in their 20s ngl, they just don't feel like teenagers for me. I'm literally going to press charges against google chrome for you ahhhhh and I read/heard somewhere that Matthias death was kinda like full circle because he was killed by the younger version of himself full of hatred and then I even cried more because WOW the growth was stunning and we do love a good crying time. About which one I like most... that's definitely a tough question. I think it depends on the day but I'd say crooked kingdom? Oh and your edit at the beginning with the cards and daggers and stuff ahhh so cute!!!! Another big comment but loved the vlog! Made me want to reread this yet again ahahha (PS I've finished queen of nothing and wow I loved it so much, thanks for giving me the push to read the folk of the air series! 💖)

that's definitely around the age i was picturing them throughout my read as well haha! honestly i'm still salty about google spoiling me like a week later, will be holding a grudge... i hate that he had to die, but the way that she went about writing it was just too good but so sad at the same time :(( i'm excited to do a reread at some point so i can really gauge which one i enjoyed more (it'll probs still be ck though), and thank you!!! also very glad to hear that you loved the folk of the air series!!! which book was your fav? also you should totally read how the king of elfhame learned to hate stories!

I just finished reading crooked kingdom ..and I think I like crooked kingdom more..its 5 star for me...ya I know matthias death was so saddeing and the sentence matthisd was dreaming again , dreaming of her😢...but okay overall a good book I love kaz so much he is so smart..when everything was drowning around him he managad to make a plan and make it work i abd I love kaz and inej chemistry. .I really wanted them together

i am surprised it took me so long to get around to them, i was clearly missing out :') i'm pretty neutral about matthias really, kind of hated him at first but he grew on me, but i absolutely adore wylan (he's probably my fav)
