This sounds so much like my story, only mine happened in Canada. Was trained to be a teacher in India, came to Québec, Canada, where I had to go back to school to do some qualifying courses, to teach. At that time, Computers were just happening, as Social Media etc. is now happening. Did a certificate, I was at the right place, at the right time, got a job in a well known university. That one step was sufficient to get ahead, progressed and finally retired a couple of years ago. I too have 1 son, of course, with me being older, I am now a retired, content grandmother. So many similarities, I had to share!!
