I had to adjust our headlights on our Fleetwood Flair 34J. They were aimed poorly. I would make sure your headlights are aimed properly before changing your bulbs. New bulbs could be brighter but if they’re not aimed properly to begin with then they’ll still be a pain.

Absolutely, the "high beams" are about where they need to be, though the "low beams" are still in need of adjustment! The stock bulbs here are quite terrible though, I have a much smaller flashlight that's more effective than these. 😂 But it's true, adjustments are a free upgrade!

This is the second time I viewed your channel, now Im subscribed. Thank you for the videos. In June we visited Mukilteo to visit family. Leaving for home in Arizona, our Winnebago on an F53 acted up. We tried to find a shop, no luck. Found a Ford dealer around Portland but 6 weeks out. We found a tech in Astoria Oregon who would work on it. Limped our way there.Back on the road 4 days later. Very difficult to find repair shops for our F53’s. I’m putting your shop in my contacts for me next trip. We’ve got a 2021 F53 chassis with the 7.3 V8 in our 2022 coach. If it hasn’t happened yet, change out your ignition wires. We found out Ford upgraded them due to early heat failure. Cheers and thank you for the video

Welcome to our channel! Glad you found someone to get you guys back on the road. Talk about stressful though. I'd heard about that recall as well, we'll be keeping an eye on ours though apparently the '22 chassis that we have isn't affected... Supposedly. I'm still suspicious.

@@CozyLivingMachine I’ve had two long conversations with Ford service representatives. They won’t replace the ignition wires until they go bad, even if it is one at a time. You can check if you have the upgraded wires. My rig was made in May 2021, so an early 2022 Winnebago year. My wires were the original Heavy Duty truck wires. They came out with better insulated ones and are referred to as RV or motorhome wires. Very pricey, about $55 per wire. If yours start’s misfiring, new wires is the cure. Thank you

Glad that you finally found a shop. I processed a warranty reimbursement for my Ram truck. Ram has an online process where you upload receipts, they review it & process it, then send you a check. I would imagine that Ford has something similar.

Me too! And that's awesome, that's how it should be. Ford has a site, but not for external customer use as I understand it. Instead, they make dealerships do their paperwork. 😬

Wow, we lucked out and there is a Ford dealership that works on our chassis’ 30 miles from our house (northeast Ohio). We developed an axle seal leak on our brand new Thor and she is in the shop with parts on order.

That's great that they're not terribly far! It seems that leaks on these axles aren't as uncommon as one would think. I wonder if there's some quality or skill issues during the manufacturing of these components...

Nope, no changes on our end! Maybe try selecting the bell notification for "all". That's the only way I see channels that I watch all videos for and am interested in! It's a weird algorithm!

I would be curious why they are so detuned? Maybe because of the transmission? I have a tuner from 5 star but I have not installed it yet.

I've read that it's because of the EPA, though these are not officially rated for fuel economy, so I have no clue! It could potentially be to meet horsepower numbers for insurance reasons, or to make future engines look even more powerful, or longevity of components... I'm just as curious though. If you tune, I'm curious if you notice a change in fuel economy as well as how it does getting up hills and such!

Durability. When the same engine is used in trucks over a large range of weights (such as the current "Godzilla" 7.3 V8, the 6.8 V10 before it, and the 460 V8 before that), the engines in the heavier vehicles are deliberately restricted from delivering high torque at high engine speed, because doing that for extended periods will kill the engine. The 7.3 V8 produces the almost same peak torque in an F-350 (468 lb-ft @ 3,900 RPM) and an F53 (468 lb-ft @ 3,900 RPM) or F-650, but in the little pickup it can continue high torque to a much higher speed. Use the pickup truck tune (430 hp @ 5,500 RPM) intended for only brief bursts of acceleration in a ten-ton motorhome (where is designed to be 350 hp @ 3,900 RPM) and you can probably kill your engine in a single mountain grade climb. The same engine is rated at only 335 HP in an F-650 or F-750.
