I'm doing the same. I was gonna buy a property a few years ago and then realised that I'd be screwed by tax bc I'm a higher rate tax payer. Then I was going to buy in the UK and use the res non dom scheme which has now been cancelled....So I didn't buy in the UK at all and will be looking to buy in Dubai instead!
