Hi, I have a GS300 ~ it's a 2006 car with keyless entry. I just had an oil & filters service done at a local repair shop who I've used for years and trust. Anyway, about 25 miles into driving a number of warning lights came up. Tyre pressure, vsc, brakes, engine eftc.. Tyre pressures are all equal and correct, there appear to be no issues with the car but the lights stay on. Any bright ideas would be welcome. Finally, my aircon stopped working, just blows hot no matter how It's set. A disaster in hot weather! I'm in the UK and this is my 5th Lexus...love 'em!
@ForwardMomentum2 жыл бұрын
Have you scanned the car for codes? If there are no codes, it could be a wheel speed sensor. You’ll need a special scanner to see which one. That’s usually why all those lights come on. Regarding AC probably need to run through diagnostics in the service manual. My guess is it’s low on refrigerant. Good luck!

Yep, many ways to do it for sure. The 90-degree 4AN fittings on the rails are push lock. Can you explain what you mean further? Thanks.
@clairebear50292 жыл бұрын
I just saw hose clamps, so it looked like a barb, my bad. I actually use Push Lock Clamps on my fuel lines with a crimp tool. I didn't like the idea of a hose clamp coming loose, and I thought would be more permanent.

I borrowed it from a friend. Common tool available in any auto store or Amazon. You can also use the “two nut” method for free. 👍
Hey Christian, what was the reason for removing the studs under the intake manifold? It looks like you didn’t put them back in, was it for the supercharger adapter or was it for easier access to the bypass bolts? I’m replacing my starter and intake gaskets and coolant bypass gasket so I was wondering if the studs need to be put back after removal
@ForwardMomentum11 ай бұрын
Hi - I believe Elate requires it for the adapter due to the design of the adapter itself and general fitment. If your engine is not supercharged with an Elate adapter, it should be restored to OEM configuration, including studs. I hope that helps!

The stock injector size is 275cc and fuel pressure should be between 45-50psi, I'm thinking that you're right on the dot regarding not enough fuel is being pushed. Theoretically at 90% duty cycle we are looking at 340whp and 380whp at max duty cycle.
@ForwardMomentum2 жыл бұрын
It depends on how you measure the stock injectors I believe. Meaning, the method. Because I’m told by industry experts that the injectors are 251-255cc. Nonetheless, your point is valid and the 330’s I have installed now are amazing. I went from trying to add nearly 30% (wasn’t possible due to duty cycle) to pulling up to 20% with the 330’s to hit 11.0-11.5 AFR. Crazy!

I know this is a couple of months later but on the an fittings for your fuel setup, never use sealant on the threads of any flared fitting, the flare is doing the sealing not the threads.
@ForwardMomentum2 жыл бұрын
Actually it’s often determined by fitting type (e.g. NPT or NPTF). That’s how the determination to add sealant is made and I should note it’s a raging debate in the flare fitting community. There’s no hard and fast rule that “a flared fitting doesn’t get sealant on threads.” By design it SHOULDN’T, but cheaper components with imperfections tend to circulate in the Amazon world, thus the sealant on the threads tends to improve the connection in that regard. I have used this method 6 times now with zero leaks, so I will personally continue to do so. Thanks for commenting though.
@bell26262 жыл бұрын
@@ForwardMomentum starters I am an aircraft mechanic, I know the fitting type determines if thread sealant is used. Build quality or not a/n fittings are ment to seal by the flare, that's it, the army navy standard says do not use sealant. If an a/n fitting is leaking check for nicks or damage to the flare, if nothing you tighten the fitting until it stop leaking.
@ForwardMomentum2 жыл бұрын
Excellent we’re in the same industry. 👍 Unfortunately these are not aircraft certified. Again, it’s a raging debate online. Again, we do agree how flared fittings work though, so that’s good. 😎
