Radio Technician here, just a suggestion, you should always mount your antennas towards the left side of your vehicle if possible. Most of your overhanging foliage is going to be on the right. Take it from a guy who has replaced tons of destroyed antennas on government vehicles and equipment

Just installed mine on the rack of my rig and love it. Signal went from 1-2 bars to 5 full bars and download speed went from 10-20mbs to 120mbs. My bars are round and the adapter worked really well. Solid bit of kit and should really make a difference in our ability to stay connected when needing to.

@@nautidad I installed a Cel-Fi Go 32 booster at my new house in Colorado last week. Was getting 4G two bars and 3Mbps download and .03Mbps upload. Now have 5G and 5 bars with 80Mbps download and 9Mbps upload. And that is just from a temp install onto 2nd level porch. Getting a permanent mount on the side of the house should be even better.

3:30 you talk in depth about only being able articulate side to side and not front to back. You can unscrew the 4 silver screws on the base and turn it 90 degrees to fix that issue and go front to back :)

Did you notice the 4 bolts up from the bottom of the base into the swivel? Probably take those out and turn it 90 degrees to allow pivoting the other way? Not a single mention of whether it boosts the signal or not????

So what about using a motorized mount so you can flip a switch to raise or lower the antenna. I'm think from the ham radio world like the DIAMOND K9000. They handle up to a 45" antenna.

I may consider an upgrade to this but something I learned is that I’d your default configuration is down, then the flex will allow the mast to tap your rack or roof in high wind or when your vehicle dips. If you plan to keep it vertical it’s less of an issue.

Definitely. The mast sits off the bar by a couple inches. I haven’t had any problems yet but have a Velcro strap in case it starts to tap.

Yea I have no idea but I would assume there are drain plugs in the floor you could go through as an easy install or the back of the cab pressure vent if you want to get fancy. Best of luck.

After I installed it I pretty much moved up to Montana with it so I haven’t done any testing in AZ. I can say is the last couple drives up to MT in my Superduty I didn’t have cell signal and had to find spots to call my wife. In the Taco with the WeBoost I had a strong signal the entire trip. Now my wife wants one.

Thank you so much. I basically routed the wire between the cab and the bed to the passenger side frame rail. Followed the frame rail to the closest passenger foot well drain plug in the floor. I sliced a slit in the plug and pushed the cable through. When done I put some silicone on both sides of the drain plug and zip tie the cable out of the way. Hope this helps.

The only difference I can see is the swivel mount. I use the regular rv mount on the side of the prinsu. I swivel it manually by taking off the wing nuts lol

Honestly I get way more use out of the WeBoost up here in Montana than I did in AZ. There is a lot less coverage up here. When I drive my truck without the Weboost I have noticeably less cell service.

Your not supposed to put loctite on the antenna threads , do not apply loctite to plastic it says it on multiple materials provided from w.e. it'll cause the plastic to crack and become brittle look it up

I’m pretty sure all those threaded connections are metal. Loctite should be completely safe on the antenna.

@@AdventureBuilt that antenna itself it's plastic , when received it has a yellow paper ring on the threaded part that says do not apply threadlocker at that point , loctite especially Blue Cross links with any plastic part and will degrade it ,just look online "blue loctite and plastic" if you check out the forums people who have applied loctite to the antenna have issues after some time where the antenna begins to crack and start to wobble because the loctite kills the plastic the newer kits come with that warning older ones might not have , newer ones have specific loctite also pre applied on the antenna threads now also. Im sure there was a lot of warranty claims due to loctite damage to the antenna assemblies hence why the packaging has changed

In Arizona I didn’t really notice a huge difference mainly because you either have service or you don’t. Up here in Montana is a different story. The WeBoost works great. Driving from Whitefish to my house I don’t have any service, however when I drive the truck with the WeBoost I get 1 or 2 bars for about 40% of the drive. It’s a significant improvement.

Yes it does work. The area that I was doing the install have great service so there is no way to test it. Now I love it Montana where cell coverage is spotty at best for most of the state. You get noticeably better cell service using the WeBoost!

When the WeBoost is in the folded position the mast of the antenna still sits off the rack about 2”. I thought that it might impact the rack but I haven’t heard anything yet. I bought a long Velcro strap in case it starts to tap it, I can fasten it down to the bar!

I’m pretty sure it only needs to be a couple feet away. Trucks are small, it wouldn’t work at all it that were the case. I used mine today. Am driving from AZ to MT. In norther AZ I was talking to my wife and signal was cutting out. Only had 2 bars. Turned on the WeBoost and got 4 bars, wife said I immediately sounded clearer.

Sorry I thought it was explained. Basically I ran it from the antenna down the back of the cab down between the cab and bed. Then I ran the cable along the frame zip tying it wherever I could. There is a drain plug under the passenger floor board. I sliced the smallest hole in the plug as possible to fit the end of the cable through. I ran the cable into the Weboost box under the passenger seat. Sorry that wasn’t more clear in the video. Hope this helps.

Portable, very quick to set up. For us we may park under trees for shade or backed up to the mountain side if windy (mostly all dispersed/off road camper), then set up the dish out in full view for best signal. Very expensive for sure, just went up $15 per month to $150. With the RV version, we only pay when we turn it on for our trips of course.
