as this video is published, Nio's City (All Roads) NOP+ is available to everyone in last week's Banyan 2.4.5 OTA. i've been using it in my ET5 and it's reliable yet cautious (ie: sometimes rather slow!)

You did a wonderful job as always! Good to see the new Qualcomm chip and heavily improved rear cabin. Seems like Urban ADAS takes after me, haha. Very conservative, drives near the speed limit, and doesn't try to make it past yellow lights (unless it's a safety issue).

You should collaborate with the late break KZbin channel. You and Johnny would be an intriguing combination and it would provide the exposure you deserve. I have had several back seat taxi experiences in China and have sat in all Nio's cars at shopping malls. The most comfortable backseat experience was the Aion Y+. It provides the height that the luxury cars don't. The seats were at good height for leg extension and provided higher than normal visibility. I am surprised Aion hasn't done more about exporting it except to Thailand. I would definitely be interested in it as long as it passes 3 tests. 1. 700Km real range. 2. Vehicle to grid capability. 3 Sub 25000 Euros.

Excellent review. However, I do not agree about the curtains and the unfixed screens. Without curtains you have privacy already and it is a cleaner look and easier to maintain it sleek for many years. Probably, I would explore the same solution as the roof glass instead. Regarding the fixed screens at the back, they provide a more premium feeling. In my opinion, your suggestion would be a great feature for a non-premium car, for example ONVO. I think, who buys a ET7 has enough money to have several tablets at home already. Additionally, there are good and cheap third party solutions to hold tablets on the back of the front seats.

$60k in Chinese market, $10k cheaper if you choose to rent the battery since Nio can do battery swap and do Battery as a service. In Europe it is much more expensive.

Yeah is China like the US where you can speed and go faster than the posted speed limit? In New Zealand and Australia, you can't do that. The limit is.. the limit.
It has to be extremely safe to be able to get government approval, the challenge in Autonomous Systems is not being the fastest but rather safe and robust with 0.000001% failure rate since failure = deaths if you don’t know

The biggest L is that they didn't integrate the Matrix LED lights into the new ET7 and that the rear seats are still not foldable! This is a no brainer and NIO should have done that...

I'm not sure you can expect assisted driving systems to ever break the speed limit by 30kph, atleast not without human interference. Seems more like a problem with set speed limits, I do regularly find roads in China that seem to have speed limits way lower than what I would expect.

Yeah I'm not sure how China's safety system or laws regarding speeding works but I suspect that getting a car to break the speed limit by that margin isn't exactly what you want the car to do from the manufacturer's perspective. I'm not sure I'd blame Nio for not wanting that.

Would much rather have safety over performance when NOP is active. Drive manually if you're trying to save a few minutes. Would also much rather have the screens on the back be mounted permanently. In addition to improper mounting causing rattling, you run the risk of damaging the screens outside the car. Trivial complaints. Beautiful car.

I think this particular model should be more expensive it competes with >80k cars. They have to focus on premium and customers that are willing to pay for premium vehicles. Sometimes these customers may think Nio are that cheaper because they are less premium. I think Nio has to release the ONVO models for the customers that look at features for the price. I am completely sure they can make cheaper cars such as Xpeng or BYD, using cheaper materials and hardware and a simpler manufacturing process.
