Removing the tokens appears to be the death of the Star Trek coin pusher. There was a time waiting in line was common, and since the change it is rare to see even one person playing. Without the tokens the cards get stuck at the step and little if anything moves forward. RiP Star Trek coin pusher.

So if they are eliminating the chips from the coin pusher do they intend to use something else? It would suck for all the players if the only way to win tickets after the phase out are the cards alone.

@@AryzenI Some of these pushers in some locations have plastic colored chips that can be pushed over the edge and collected from the tray below. They can be cashed in at the counter for tickets. Usually The Wizard of Oz pusher has them too. D&B is phasing them out now so you win even less from playing these machines.
