That is my exact thought, the audition cares more about your voice expression and personality than your equipments. I've seen sight of people on the internet making excuse of having no professional mic, then just buy a headphone that have a mic attached on.

Finana is the first person to say that I don't need a good pc setup, omg, thanks to her now I have a weight off my back and chest. I must say tho that my laptop *can* handle some heavy games or programs, it's just that is quite full of stuff (mainly university assignments and drawing files) and because of this it does run slow at times. Now I'm really determined to apply 💪🏾

I always thought that the biggest barrier to entry was being an already established creator. One member of HoloEN had 700 thousand subs before joining hololive, so I always assumed that they weighted the likeliness of getting accepted on your proven ability to pull an audience. But hearing that Finana was a nobody too at one point instills a lot of comfort. Maybe next time they open auditions, I'll finally have the confidence to apply...

It shows that you won’t win if you don’t think about the consequences of winning. If you win the audition, you’ll become a full-time streamer and you have to acknowledge it because that’s not as easy as it seems

In short "Just Do It". A very helpful tips from successful member of Niji. Some people start as solo vtuber without affiliating to any corporation. But if you wanted to get people attention very quick, starting with popular platform as Niji or Holo is a great idea. So yeah I wanna try first as Solo maybe just for fun cuz sometimes I wanna share my talent in drawing and some IT stuffs but I'm too shy and I had 6 days of work so time is what I'm lacking, and these vtuber agencies always had a week schedules. But yeah, I'll try someday cuz it's looks fun and my coworkers also watching vtubers so it's funny to imagine if they also had vtuber beside em, ofcourse I'll do my best to hide it from em. 😂

You've got a whole month. That's plenty of time to write your lore, come up with the skill of yours that you want to market (because you have plenty of skills!), compile it all into an audition, and submit it. As finana said in the video, you don't need a good PC.

I hardly gotten sleep last night because I was thinking of the auditions. As badly as I wanted to do so, even as a joke, I sadly couldn't. One reason, I'm in my final few months of Senior year. Two, trying to stream 3 times a week for almost any kind of content seems a lot harder than I thought. Even with a drawing of my "Holosona" as like to call them, I don't believe I have the time to do so even as a career of choice. To end on a lighter note, I too will cheer one those who choose to audition 😊

The one thing I would really question about this advice is the "no PC or laptop needed" part. I mean, yeah, you don't need to have a $4000 monster rig to stream. For example, IIRC Ame from HoloEN used a 1050 for quite a while - maybe still does, I haven't kept up. But nothing? How are you going to perform the job without a device to stream from? Stream from a phone for hours a day (lol)? Does Niji provide laptops? I kinda doubt it.

I took a peak at the application and got confused on the video part. They ask for a self introduction which makes sense but are you supposed to give.your real name or the name of the character you wish to portray

They specifically say you have to BE IN character. They already know your personal information from the form, so they want to see how well you can be IN character. If you need video ideas, pomu recently said what she did in her audition video and said most of the other niji members did the same. Sonny also mention that you need to show them what you’re good at for example for him, he did his voice impressions. Good luck!
