Thanks for bringing awareness to this issue and helping us put a pause to all this noise...I see it everywhere on social media, its hard to see what the truth is behind all the hype and buzz

I've been watching finance videos for almost 8 years now, and I can 100% relate! It's becoming harder and harder cut through the noise of entertainment posing as educational videos and straightforward ads masquerading as valuable content. Before youtube's apocalypse, many creators focused on producing valuable videos (expecting to grow their ad revenue). Nowadays, more often then not, videos are about sponsorship, deals or courses, which often lead to conflicts of interest-like someone predicting real estate trends while promoting thier course on how to investing in real estate. Another annoying thing is the alarming, clickbait-style thumbnails and titles everyone has adopted nowadays.

I agree I think a lot of finance creators have shifted from growing their channels to gain more ad revenue to partnering with sometimes sketchy companies to get a huge payday. The FTX scandal a few years back was a prime example and shined a light on a lot of respected creators who took money to promote it. As always thank you for your insight as I enjoy hearing from other people who have experienced the same thing!

Best finance video I’ve seen is Michael Reeves stock trading video. Very informative.

I think the real long term investing strategy is to have a goldfish invest for you😂

Qualified due to Patagonia vest :D No disrespect intended.
I noticed the same thing the other day, particularly with Caleb Hammer videos (the only ones that come up on shorts). He basically just goes crazy at a guest who doesn't seem all that interested in improving their spending - appears fake IMO. The thing about personal finance is that it is mostly just boring and slow; spend less than you earn and invest in a moderate yield index fund, bonds, Roth IRA etc., Sadly this doesn't capture attention!

I agree I’ve been a long time viewer of Caleb Hammer and I’ve watched his video go from having normal quests who have a basic understanding and relative normal debt turn into the craziest of people with almost no finances being discussed. I believe it’s hard for some people to accept that good finances is boring and takes a long time and that allure pulls them away from it. As always thank you for your insight as i enjoy hearing from other people!
