I recently took a job as a corporate governance paralegal for a private equity and venture capitalist firm. I’m the keeper of all governance documents. I’ve been feeling an urge to run birth / date of formation charts for all of its entities, officers and directors to better understand who I work for and to monitor its acquisitions and major decision made by the boards of its many companies. I hope this is a subject matter you will delve deeper into, but what was shared today is pure gold. I’ll be rewatching this episode multiple times and applying what was taught as a matter of learning and informing myself, this just made my job that more interesting . As always, thank you!

As a Gemini sun with mercury in Taurus in my 8th I’m loving this conversation!! I’ve been studying astrology for 7yrs and trading for 3yrs. I’ve created a point system to time the biggest moves based on the planetary aspects happening on a particular day. Combining that with technical analysis has been super helpful. Sun conj Jupiter in Gemini and Merc conj Moon in Taurus 8th. However, most of my planets are tied up in a grand square so I've learned to be very conservative with my $$ - it seems I have enough for what I really need and any extra goes to unexpected expenses pretty quick!😅

Find a job. It’s the easiest way to make money. Dont gamble with money you owe. Instead of watching KZbin get a 2nd job, build savings… then you’re ready to invest. If you have nothing, you have nothing to invest. If you OWE, you have less than nothing. One step at a time, and not everything in one step. If you’re trying to get rich quick, you will go broke “investing” If that’s your mindset, you don’t even understand investing

​@@margok904take time to learn about the market. If you dont have the time or interest, find someone who is trustworthy to help you out or invest monthly in index funds as a starter. You wont get quick money that way but in 10 years it will grow more than just having them on a bank account.

Even in the future there will probably be changes. In hellenistic astrology the traditional rulers are used.

​@@PatriceMorris.Yes there are various systems of astrology, but I don't think that they're meant to confuse humanity. They're simply different languages. There will always be one single truth (like price) no matter which astrological language is used. It's up to the individual to find which method suits them. Humans are always going to be inventing various languages and methodologies as time goes on. They're not meant to confuse, they're meant to find distinct answers to different questions. The use of Saturn vs Uranus as the ruler of Aquarius answers distinct queries about the nature of the sign.

When she’s talking sun-Jupiter-Pluto combinations is it signs or orbs? I would also have loved to hear her take on other combinations. I know that a lot of financial astrologers put emphasis on mercury since it’s the planet that govern trade (just as an example) Ps Kenny Rogers just isn’t quoted enough!

I disagree that you sell when you make a 20 percent gain. Buy and keep a stock that’s working, otherwise you will miss gains. Compounding works.

How do you rebalance?

@@kierbaudy that’s actually not how compounding works. You have to lock in your gains and rebalance. Everyone should at least be rebalancing 1yr. Buy and hold isn’t actually compounding. Unless you take companies that have stock splits or dividend reinvest. I can buy a house at $50 in 1980 in 2020 that house is worth $200, there’s no compounding, I just got the gains net expenses. If I every year I locked in 20% or even 10% and stayed invested, or even used some of those gains to spread my investments around, now my $50 has 5% growth in this sector, 20% growth over here, maybe I create a bond cushion and have a steady 7% yr to year, and then I can shoot for the moon with a smaller portion. Ppl get screwed over buy and hold. Might as well work for the same company 50 yrs.

⁠@@candyDREAMER I’m just curious, I think locking in the gains can be really good tactic, but as a European I avoid trading often, else I’m gonna get taxed to oblivion on my returns, is that not how it works in US? how does the tax system work there as far as selling your investments is concerned?

@@Annyeeong in a taxable account, yes it's important to be mindful of current year capable gains. There are strategies like tax-loss harvesting, managing capital gains via long term and short gains, and even thinking holistically about tax deductions and charitable contributions to offset taxes that we can use.. It can be a lot. As a financial consultant I don't get why people try to it themselves...I don't try to do my own surgeries I go to a doctor. But media makes people think everyone could and should do it, when not everyone has the same knowledge or time to be hands on. But it's like HGTV and home renovations... I may do a small job, otherwise I'm hiring professionals and letting do what their good at.
