Hi Everyone! This is Sarah! Thank you so much for all the kind words, they really mean a lot 🥰 I did want to clarify a little bit- I did /not/ spend 5k on a singular tie rod. This last year my tire exploded (I was parked, thank god) the left tie rod broke while I was out and I needed to get a tow truck plus the replacement, I went to get it checked over and they said the right tie rod was also about to go (this could have been a fib, I am unsure) so I replaced that, then my car started making a weird wub-wub noise when I reached higher speeds. So I took it into tires plus asking about the breaks, because a trusted car person (ok, ok, my dad lol) said it sounded like a brake issue. so they looked at it and said the brakes looked ok, but I needed 2 new tires (because the year before I had also replaced 1 tired because it shredded. Don't drive on a flat, y'all. Bad idea lol) and there were some tubes and such that were going to need replaced soon, so I was like 'do it. Whatever is there, just fix it.' But then I went home and THE WUBS WERE BACK!! so I took it into the dealership where I bought it (since I was home) and it TURNS OUT that my right break was, like, locking, so it was trying to break while I was on the interstate 🙃 so then I had to ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM! So, yeah, I won't be going back to tires plus. It was an expensive lesson to learn, but not one I will repeat. As a side note, what is cash stuffing? lol, I officially feel old😆

What an inspiration you are. I watched your original episode and could see how upset you were at the prospect of a second job. The fact you found a side hustle in something you love is really inspiring. People are asking about your cash stuffing because you said you’re taking the cash out of the ATM machine. Cash stuffing is where you divide that cash in your hand divide it across your expenses. People are interested in how you’ve made that work for you. Its also called the envelope system. It sounds like its worked brilliantly for you in staying on track. Congratulations on all the progress you made. 🎉

One of the really weird things about credit cards in the US, at least for me, is the "I pay the minimums" mentality...like we here NEVER pay minimums, always full amount each month. Minimuns are something that is really avoided, only as a last resort because something really weird happened and it becomes top priority to pay it next month.

This is the first time in a while that I've disagreed with your Hammer score. Specifically with the emergency fund, she diligently built it up again and again, it's not her fault that emergencies happened. She should get credit for all the money she put into it, and not penalized for emergencies that require withdrawals. If it was wasted, sure, but not for legitimate car experiences.

@chengzhengjeong its just funny because i understand what they mean. @@ronaldkincaid9972 I have multiple friends with 500K mortages, loans to pay for the kitchen/bathroom/garden, leasing cars. One guy "owns" a company but all his cars on are bought with loans, and his warehouse is under a mortage... yet they all enjoy vacations, spending money on stupid shit like collectors watches, lorcana and magic card games. Meanwhile i have 0 debt, 50K's in the bank, but the bank says i dont even qualify for a mortgage for a average priced house cause my income is so "low" (top 30 percentile of income in my country though)... i think that is what people mean when they say money isn't real. You can live the best live without ever having a dime, and can work your entire life and save, yet still not afford any luxury :P Anecdotal, but there is a truth behind "make money with money"... like donald trumps "small loan of a million dollars" shtick.

My husband is an accountant so every year when we book our MOT (annual car safety check) we check the valuation of the car. We then pick a number less than the value and if the repairs cost more than that number we trade the car in and get a newer model. We don't want to end up spending more on repairs than the car is worth.

Other finance people make it so simple “live on nothing and pay debt” but they forget that cars break, unexpected expenses happen, sometimes you need to upgrade vehicles for reliable transportation. CFNA is Firestone as she said. Quick edit about CFNA, frick them. I haven't used the card in over a year and never held a balance but paid off a Comenity\Playstation $9000 balance credit card and closed it last month because I knew I'd just rack the card back up and I JUST got an email saying that CFNA is increasing my APR to 35%.

I am thrilled for both this women’s wonderful progress and hard work, but also to see Caleb get a win. So many of these episodes are with folks who are seemingly resigned to their financial fate. These are the types of people who deserve the help Caleb provides!

This was a great episode! Caleb was polite vs his normal rude and raunchy. Sarah - you are crushing it girl!!! Love the split screen.
