Yep. This is me. Everyone around me owns boats, trucks, nice houses, going on vacations, etc. I am.pretty sure these people arent making much more than I am. Yet i am careful. Honestly, its tough not to just say f**k and just start living like everyone else. Maybe its FOMO?

Totally! So many times I've been tempted and then I snap out of it. I don't need a luxury purse or fancy car. Because I know even if I did buy them, the science says, the happiness they'll bring will last only for a short time anyway. What brings me longer lasting happiness are typically things money can't buy anyway.

It's truly sad how people compare themselves in every arena possible even finances. When it's not even based on facts, But how successful some think the next person is.

It's human behaviour and difficult not to do, that's for sure.

not sure if that's the same, but in my case I don't compare my finances with others', but I constantly have a feeling that smth is not ok with my finances. I do budgeting, I know exactly what goes where, tracking spending etc. And still feeling uneasy... 🤷♂️

I'd say that fits the description. It may not be comparison but something else. But if you have a feeling of dissatisfaction with your finances, even though there's nothing actually wrong with your finances, then that's dysmoprhia
