I didn’t have any prior investing experience. A CFA, Herman W Jonas has taken all the guesswork out ever since I got into his program. My initial capital of $11k invested in stocks, and crypto over the short term yielded me huge profit plus bonuses. It’s all about accumulating wealth through compound interest.

Financial literacy is key to building wealth! Here’s a simple breakdown: 1. Understand your income sources. 2. Create a budget to track spending. 3. Differentiate needs vs. wants. 4. Save regularly. 5. Build an emergency fund. 6. Know your expenses. 7. Cut unnecessary costs. 8. Track your spending. 9. Learn how credit works. 10. Check your credit score. 11. Pay bills on time. 12. Minimize high-interest debt. 13. Understand interest rates. 14. Avoid bad debt. 15. Plan for retirement. 16. Start investing early. 17. Diversify investments. 18. Understand risk and return. 19. Learn about taxes. 20. Start building an investment portfolio. 21. Monitor your net worth. 22. Protect assets with insurance. 23. Live below your means. 24. Automate savings and payments. 25. Set financial goals. 26. Review and adjust your budget regularly. 27. Understand financial statements. 28. Build multiple income streams. 29. Learn about financial products (loans, mortgages). 30. Continuously educate yourself to make smarter money decisions. It all starts with understanding the basics and building on that knowledge!

Bruh, I wish rent was $800 a month. It was that cost for a 3 bedroom house rental when I was a kid. Now, people are posting mini storage sheds as 1 bedroom efficiency rentals for $1200 a month. That is the cheapest rentals in the central Florida area.

It's the same in my country, but the minimum wage is about $1400, so you have up to $200 to pay the bills, food, and transport. (Of course, I'm not converting the currency because it wouldn't make sense to convert, but if that were the case it would be a rent of $195,23 for a minimum wage of $227,77...)

@@johnny5941 Good question, but it's not an option. $900 is the minimum for a room. Anything less means living in a very dangerous area here which I have done before or sharing a room with a stranger, which I will never do again haha. And as a working student, affording a more expensive place simply is not possible in this economy unless you manage to land a good job.

My ADHD brain is crying from the lack of motivation to want to watch this video all of the way through. But considering my finances and impulsive spending habits, and being in my early 20s now and wanting to move out of my abusive narcissist mother's hoarder apartment. I know this video is going to be super useful and educational for me. I've always just wanted a free crash course of someone teaching me about Finances 101 essentially without me studying an actual degree for it.

I have found that, in some things, if you listen to or do something for a certain amount of minutes at a time, works best. Way more helpful, then trying to do it all at once. Yes it will take longer, but it will get done. AND, you won't feel bad about not completing it right away, because the plan was not to complete it, all at once! Keeps up morale and still, eventually, gets the job done. ❤ Hope this is useful.

@@surfingcipher1059not how adhd works also why do you think this creator made this video. She did to help people that might not be able to go through the course themselves, whatever the reason it may be. Literally cut down the content of the course into something quicker so they don’t have to put as much effort. They aren’t complaining, just stating because they brain doesn’t work like the rest of population, this form of content might be challenging but they will still put in effort to get themselves out of their situation. That sounds like the opposite of being lazy. Cope harder bro.

3:53 For the 50/30/20 budget, we want our money to work for us! I agree on looking to cut down needs, but with the cost of living sometimes it’s not easy. I’d look at your wants to see where you could cut down on spending. In the example - eating out $460 and fancy clothes $200, both are in your control! Did you need to buy fancy clothes? Are you only wearing it once and it stays in your closet? If you’ve got a busy schedule, meal prep is an easy way to eat meals from home

On the test I got 16pts. Answers B, D, B, D, B. But to be fair I know I'm not too financially intelligent. I literally saved my money for 3-4yrs, ran into the pandemic while unemployed and lost all of it taking care of myself. Now I'm poor, not even making minimal wage, looking for my next job while discovering being a veteran means nothing lol. I have a bad attitude lately because of it (sad face). All that aside I can save no problem. I know how to save, but I didn't know how to go about spending it in a productive way for myself during tragedy. I didn't know how to plan beyond that or who to trust when planning ahead.

01:01:01 Self-assessment 1. An effective way to evaluate a school/major/job is reaching out to people who have been there in order to assess both the return in investment and the opportunity cost of going there. 2. A flat tax (e.g., sales tax) is a tax applied to products and transactions at the same for everyone. For example, the same tax rate is applied to supermarket products regardless of who buys them. On the other hand, a progressive tax is an income-based tax, meaning the tax rate applied is proportional to income, i.e., higher earners pay a higher tax rate. 3. You're paying a 1% interest rate.

Your videos are so helpful but ive got a question. With the way the countries around the world are falling into debt and financial crisis, how will the security of or in retirement help the aged? I am in my 50's and the idea of retirement still looks unclear to me (understand also that having money but not having a retirement money set aside is different). What can i do as a first timer in this topic? i have a 401k account but i must confess, i am a novice to this. Help out with suggestions if any.

The first and foremost step is to stay diversified, keeping a balanced risk. Put a portion in HYSA(5-10%), index funds and annuity. That’s exactly what took my reserve to over a million dollars. Most importantly, get the services of a fiduciary. 🎉

The 50/30/20 rule is a method used to save money. 50 being for your need expenses, 30 being for want expenses, and 20 being your savings. My money personality was saver, and it's definitely true. I can be a bit of a spender when it comes to things that I need, but when things get tough, and even in regular situations I always have a second brain prioritizing to save. I also get scared to spend to go out and enjoy and reward myself. I only spend on things that I truly need. I'm sort of a minimalist. I want to save up said 'blah' dollars this semester . The goal is specific because I specified the amount and it's what I want to achieve (well in my head). It's measurable because it implies that I have a job that allows me to save enough money. It's achievable I've done it before, and I live in my parents' house, so I don't have to put a percentage of my money into rent and stuff. It's probably not that realistic because I would probably have to only save but who cares (saver personality is showing lol). Well, it's time bound because it needs to be done in a semester.

What's Installment credit vs Revolving Credit? Installment credit is basically you get a certain amount of money and you have to pay it back in a certain amount of time. Revolving credit has a credit limit, and you can borrow and repay, but you need to make sure it's in that range. What's a deductible? A deductible is the portion of cost you have to pay with insurance before insurance kicks in. What's the 4-step framework for the money you save? I will try my best to remember I think it was creating a budget, savings goal, write out smart goals, and then if you invest in various things because you don't want to bank on one thing.

Tbh first question I don't know. Flat tax is tax that's given to everyone same price. Progressive tax differs on your income. 6% - 5% = 1% This shows the real purchasing power of your investment since inflation increases the cost of things over time.
