Thank you Neil!! I’ve been watching your videos for a years. I needed a deck belt for my z turn mower. Through no fault of kubota my dealer in texas was having a problem getting them and I have been waiting for one for a few weeks. I ordered one from Messicks on Thursday night and it was delivered today. Just wanted to say thanks. Whenever the dealer one comes in I’ll at least have a spare.

For what it is worth, I had a good experience with kubota financing on two pieces of equipment.
@wildbill23c Жыл бұрын
I have a Kubota BX2680 financed through Kubota...0% for 5 years....pretty good deal, can't go wrong with 0% interest. I think the cash discount was only like $500 if that much even. Would have been about $1100-1200 cheaper to have paid cash but in all honesty how many regular working class homeowners have $26k sitting around in cash to rush out and buy a piece of equipment? Very, very few. Keep the payments up and you won't have any issues at all. I keep mine payed way ahead, easy to do because I pay extra all the time throughout the year, plus the regular automatic monthly payment. I'm wanting that tractor paid for long before I hit 5 years...so far I'm almost 2 years into it, and have maybe a year left at the rate of payments I'm making now.
@matthewm8021 Жыл бұрын
@@wildbill23c you would be better off taking the extra money you’re paying towards the tractor and put it in a high yield account. The American Express one I use is paying 4% interest. No reason to pay off a 0% interest loan early when you could be putting that money in the bank and getting a decent return on it.

Even a little bit extra on the payments can make a big difference in the end. Lowes had 0% financing or 10% off for mowers. I went with the 10% off and paid the card off using my 4% line of credit. So many people all they see is the 0% financing. No such thing as free money.

We were one of the last deals at our Kubota dealership to get approved for 0% for 84 months along with the Kubota insurance and extended warranty. This was a family purchase for our property so we had a large amount of cash to put down on the deal. That helped us get a couple of non Kubota pieces of equipment financed. It also freed up money to purchase a couple of other pieces of equipment that our local Kubota dealer didnt carry. I think JD offers a similar package. I don't know a out the other brands.

Depends. I don't look at a tractor as debt, I look at it as income, you can take that tractor out and earn money with it. It will pay for itself. Resell value on them is quite high too. Plus all the use you have of that tractor whenever you need/want it.

've never "financed" anything in they way you are talking. I've always spent my own finances. yes, I know that when interest rates are zero % financing it is actually fiscally better to "finance" something and keep your money in the bank at a higher interest rate than the rate on a loan. But when I buy something, I own the darned thing and can do whatever I want to with it. and no one can EVER get upset with me and take it away. this is the first time i have ever heard a "dealer" admit that it IS sold cheaper when it is a cash purchase. In the day, it was always a "get out of paying taxes" for the dealer. it was crooked but not the problem of the customer.

@@acdii Do you really think the sale price is the same cash/credit? When I bought my Kubota BX2680 the cash price was about $1100-1200 less...guess where that money goes when you finance...yep, it goes to all the fees that Neil was talking about.
