Finch was absolutely awesome emo and the beginning of screamo. Silverstein and Hawthorne Heights walked in their footsteps. I was 34 when all this was happening. The best years! The Nowcore CD is a must for this era.

Ah bro none of these posthardcore bands are screamo. Influenced by for sure though. Screamo is heroin, Saetia, pg.99, Hot cross, Neil Perry and many more. Real screamo is called skramz.

There's also Ender, Without You Here, New Beginnings, Perfection Through Silence. Heck the whole album slaps. Whenever just tuning into music in general I just eventually find myself back to jamming to Finch. Also their other albums are underrated- especially Say Hello to Sunshine it was way ahead from year 2005.

This was the first song I hear of theirs in the early 2000s. first time I heard it it was my favorite song to the point I think I have every version of the song (main album, EP and some other version) and I eventually bought the whole album and that thing is in the top five for me and it is great to see others find them and like them as to me they came out in 2001 or so and I feel were totally different than other bands out at that time (people say emo but I think this was before that wave) but they were so many out then that maybe they got lost in the shuffle. Such a great time...

great reaction hoopsick letters to you by finch is one of my favourite songs from the band's debut album what it is to burn the music video for this song is fantastic (an absolute classic) the band broke up because vocalist nate barcalow refused to show up to recording sessions for the band's next album after back to oblivion was released & didn't communicate with the rest of the band members when they were offered to play festivals great reaction as always bro keep them coming.😀🤘
