If this song was released today, it would be HUGE amongstbthe math rockers and indie listeners. Finch was so much further ahead than their peers at the time and were crucified for it by their original fans

Well said. I didn’t care a sniff for the first album but this one was unreal, proper Glassjaw sounds. Opinion is opinion ultimately but I much preferred their later stuff.

I wish more people out there would have gave this album a chance. Truly a masterpiece. Definitely way ahead of it's time and such a refreshing change to all the "screamo pop punk" that was coming out at the time. To this day can still listen all the way through and never get bored with it.

No one knows the songs off "Say Hello to Sunshine". xD I had no idea how true this was until Warped Tour yesterday. I keep bitching about it because I was so saddened that the crowd didn't know the songs OR respond to them. I was up near the front, worried I'd be squashed, when I ended up being the most energetic.
@posthardcoresinger10 жыл бұрын
Experimental666 Damn I didn't expect they'd play anything off the record so I didn't even bother since I hate most of the stuff at warped anyways. They play Miro? Probably my favorite song off the record.
@Experimental66610 жыл бұрын
***** Mine too! Though I'm not sure they played Miro...I feel like they did. I couldn't quite pin their first song. I knew the lyrics, but I didn't know the title. xD They also played Insomniatic Meat, Ink, What it is to Burn, and two songs off their upcoming album. I think one was called like...Picasso or....something like that. Sounded really awesome, nonetheless! I'm really excited!

“Meier may we be this way forever And tell me, lover, what will become of the others?” Bones, skin, nails and flesh On a bed of “lack of passion”, a medieval consequence They worry you with all the talk of how you're not their kind Now I'm stealing her body and taking it home There is always one more fall Maladjusted you must trust me, darling Subsequently, you see, you deserve more than me They bury you while wearing garments of funeral fire Now I'm stealing her body and taking it home There is always one more fall Now I'm stealing her body and taking it home There is always one more fall This will hurt you It's killing me (This is the salt in my side, this is the thorn in my eye) This will hurt you And I will, too And I will Bloodlust, bloodlust - for this girl Bloodloss, bloodloss - for this boy Bloodlust, bloodlust - for this girl Bloodloss, bloodloss - for this boy This boy Another puncture wound, and once again, forgive my sins Now I'm stealing her body and taking it home There is always one more fall Now I'm stealing her body and taking it home There is always one more fall

Finch established 1999. one of my favorite bands growing up. check the date before suggesting your mainstream bands now, did it first or even try to compare them to anyone now lol this is old school, all band's go through different sounds, sing about what's relevant at the time for them as a group, the genre was/has been reinvented so many times.

I dunno why people dont like this album. I like it better than WIITB. It is one of my top albums of all time. So gritty and raw with better song writing. Can wait for Back to Oblivion! I'm feeling like it will be a mix between WIITB and SHTS.

I liked SHTS when it came out. still do. but to me, it's not as good as WIITB. and no, not because that was their first record and my introduction to them. a lot of people choose favorite albums based on nostalgia only. I just go with songwriting. sure, SHTS has more intricate guitar work and more complex structures and polyrhythmic riffs, but I just don't find the songs quite as catchy and memorable as WIITB. to me, WIITB is a 9/10, SHTS is a 7/10.

"Say hello to sunshine" is such a great album, they kept much of their original post-hardcore sound but injected it with Faith No More and Deftones influences.
