I was lucky enough to, after a year of buying from their online shop, visit this store in 2011 when I lived a train ride away in Osaka. I got a more correctly-sized hakama, and a new iaito (since my one in my home country had to stay behind). Great store, and fortunately they had an English speaker on staff so I could communicate effectively.

After watching your videos I'm now starting my training in Iaido, I had my first session last week and it looks like this may end up being the martial art that I want to train in. Unfortunately due to the laws and complications of customs over here in the UK my Sensei's don't suggest importing from Japan as it's just as likely that someone who doesn't know the exemption laws around Katana will just scrap it before you can explain to them that you are legally allowed to own them. The Dojo I'm joining uses Nine Circles for its Iaido equipment. I'm really looking forward to when I'll be ready to move on from a Bokuto to an Iaito.

My dogi and kaku obi were bought from Tozando. My dojo specifies we wear white dogi, my kaku obi is brown with a white patterning. But we don’t wear juban, my dogi is washed regularly.. As for oiling my Iaito, I just do this every now and again mainly to clean the blade. I don’t use specific oil, just old fashioned lightweight 3 in 1 oil, a little spread over the blade usually brings up the shine…
