I can't believe how lucky this guy is, the only silver i found was a war nickel coin roll hunting, :) The only time I got really lucky was my first box of pennies, over 230 wheat.

Only silver I ever got was 2 war nickels, a 1967 half dollar and a 1951 s dime. The luckiest find I ever had was when I got a 1919 d and 1938 pennies in $10 of pennies

I found (1) silver coin in my life time. A Roosevelt 1960 dime. Not from a bank roll, but in the reject chute of a coinstar machine walking out of the grocery store :-) Always check the reject chute if you are walking by one of those things. It had $2 worth of nasty sticky change, some foreign crap, and the silver dime

I have a very large plastic jar that now weighs over 50 lbs of pennies that I started filling 10 years ago. Fellow workers ( usually the younger ones) , would just throw their pennies on the floor. I would pick them up and toss them into a jar. Had to keep increasing the size to where it is now. and probably close to filled , maybe can get in 2 or 4 more rolls . This is going to my youngest granddaughter, cant wait to look down and watch her go through it . Oh NO SHIELD pennies allowed in . LOL

I just now bought a box of coins from the bank, dimes in fact, and I found nine silver Mercury! And 33 Silver Roosevelt dimes! Should I post that on KZbin? I only videotaped at the end about 15 rolls to end. I just couldn’t stop opening them up! 42 total! I had two rolls with five dimes in them, 3 rolls with four dimes in them. Like 3 rolls with three. And like 5 with two in them! I just found my find of a lifetime today! Now forever, I will always think back to the time when I had this box and be like man! I only found one in the whole box! 😢

this is why I roll hunt. all you need is to grab em after someone's estate is cashed in and the family didn't know what they had. I've gone through 5 boxes of nickels in the past month have ~220 pre-1960, 7 key dates, 6 war silver, and 1 buffalo. haven't tried dimes yet, this video makes me want to go grab a few boxes lol.

Insane box! The best box of dimes I coin roll hunted yielded 17 silvers, including 4 mercs. On average a couple years ago, I'd find about 1 silver dime about every third box. I even got a couple boxes that were entirely uncirculated current year issue.

Go to a bank where you have an account and just ask. Then its best to take them back to another bank or at least another branch of that bank.
