At first I thought to myself, "those are the most awful color combinations I have ever seen!" Then like magic it turns into one of the most beautiful paintings I have ever seen!! How did you do that?! Beautiful!

Thank you. Sometimes I like to make a hot mess and then challenge myself to rescue it. I think the key is to not over blend all the colors. Thanks for watching and I just put my online class, Fear No Color, on sale for the weekend. You can find it on my website.

Hey Sandra. I’m doing an art assessment and we have to write about an artist. I decided to choose you as my artist as I admire your work. Keep making amazing art!

I have such anxiety when it comes to layering! When I watch videos like this I keep yelling, "dont cover that up!!" but I always love the results in the end. I wish I could do this as it looks so freeing but I feel overwhelmed with layering. arrrgggg!!

Cindy this is normal, but in order to make your best most authentic art it is necessary to let go of attachment and control. In art school I learned this lesson from a great teacher. We did an exercise called Paradise lost and found. After you ""finish" a piece others are invited to work over the piece. I think I had 8 people work on top of mine and then I had to resurrect it as my own. A very powerful lesson. You should check out my upcoming online course where I help you with this.

It will open so many doors all through your life, not just art.
