So this is my long story made short. I grew up in a hoarders household. I did not know anything about hoarders at the time just that I could not have any friends over. Once I got my own place and had kids it was such a struggle for me to clean. Because I never learned how. Through prayer and determination to not have my kids grow up the same way I grew up I now have a cleaning schedule and after 13 years I am still learning but I now cannot go to bed without cleaning up a little. Little things you force yourself to do turn into long term habits. I thank God for the will to do them. Thanks for your videos because I also get ideas from you as well 😊

I tried desperately to get acceptance and appreciation through chores. I'd spend hours rearranging cabinets and scrubbing tubs, without recognition. I later would help others, but not work at home. Great video, Jen. Maybe that fear of recognition is why I rebel in my home now.

Well... this video is an old one, but I wanted to thank you for sharing. I am from France and in the North of France, people says "to do your Saturday" and it means to do all the chores all day long as your mother did... It was very enlightning, and I hope I will progress... even if I am old and without child at home (but working outside all day long).

Hello from Omaha!! Love this video! We have half the kids you do and these were great tips. I also use clean mamas base schedule. I was using flylady before but it never seems to work after a while. When you mentioned EFT I kind of fangirled even more because that is what I do! Stay warm/dry....looks like we have some storms tonight(but who knows because the weather always changes here 😂)

I wish there was a program that included working women. I have three small children and a very demanding job. I can’t have a major cleaning task everyday. There just don’t seem to be a lot of programs that contemplate women who work outside the home as WELL as inside the home.
