Hi, I am non EU national who finished my phd in france and got a job offer from germany last week. I have applied for a blue card (the employer helped me with it) but the visa appointment is too difficult to get. I am currently on a waiting list(12-16 weeks) for a visa appointment in Paris. Do you think this situation will change in 2024 regarding the long waiting times for blue card applications ? Like I am not sure how can one arrive in germany with these lengthy waiting times bcz no employer would want to wait for such a long time?

@@AsifSaifuddinAuvipy i thought they would do that by themselves since the agency which is handling my documentation is well known in Germany. @@AsifSaifuddinAuvipy the employer(it's a US company) applied for a visa for me. They told me that they have a global mobility team and it would take around 10 weeks in total which seems okay given the current conditions. Nobody said anything about the welcome center and I personally didn't find any info regarding it on Reddit. I think I can't do much now except for waiting. The issue is that the embassy website doesn't have an appointment webpage, they only have a waiting list option and u have to put your details in it and they will send an appointment date and time by themselves. I am not sure how can someone from outside reduce that waiting time?

@@AsifSaifuddinAuvipy Hi, sorry to disturb you but i had a question. My workplace in germany is hamburg and the fast track authority responsible there is the welcome centre for professionals in hamburg (as u too said). So how much time does it take for an employer to get the approval from them so that I can book an appointment after that. All my degrees are recognized and the company is a big company.
