Ultrasound-guided fracture identification is a minimally invasive technique that allows for quick and accurate diagnosis of fractures, without the need for radiation or contrast agents. Additionally, it can be used during reductions to assist in identification of adequate alignment without the need for a C-arm!
Also, if you happen to be using a hematoma block as your analgesic, ultrasound can be vastly useful in a precision injection directly into that fracture.
