So I'm wondering which would be best for my 4 wheel drive four wheeler suspension and axles. I'm guessing MoS3 for all pivot points and Li400 for bearings/axles to keep out clay/mud/water
@aetsystemsinc.1413

You would be able to use Li400 for all applications you mentioned. The micro ceramic additive in li400 out performs the moly in MoS2. For maximum protection Li400 is the right choice

If you had a sub compact tractor with a loader & mower, what grease would you recommend (cost is not an issue since so little grease is used)? G200 for mower deck & MSO2 for the bushings & chassis, or Li400 for everything, or some other combination. Also open to more than one grade type of it extends life of components.

Li400 would be able to used across all the applications mentioned and would give you the maximum level of protection. You would most likely use a maximum of 1 or 2 tubes of grease per year so the cost is very minimal to go to a premium grease like Li400

Would your 200EP grease be suitable for lubricating an 8000lb excavator?

Good Day, typically OEMs in that application will call for a MOLY grease. Therefore you would want to use AIRTEC MOS2 grease.

So if I understand this correctly, Li400 would be the best grease if you only want one grease in the shop for bearings and pins.

That is correct, LI400 carries ratings for a wide range of OEM applications including high and low speed bearings, bushings, low an high temps, and low and high pressures.

G200EP is going to be a great grease for general multi-purpose greasing. Long life, great water resistance, high pressure rating, high temperature rating. Perfect for your van and anything you run across. Thank you

I know for tractor pins/bushings you mentioned the MoS2 grease was great, but it seemed like you mentioned that the Li400 might be better? Would either of those also work well for ball joints on a truck?
@aetsystemsinc.1413
@aetsystemsinc.1413 Жыл бұрын
Great question. Both will work in ball joints on a truck. The main difference between MoS2 and LI400 is that MOS2 (moly) is not recommended in certain applications where high speed bearings are used, whereas LI400 carries a high and load speed bearing. LI400 is better in terms of pressure and temp protection as the ceramic is higher performing than moly, but moly is more cost friendly than ceramic.

Are there any complications or issues arising when switching from a polyurea grease to your Li400 grease? Will they co-mingle in already greased up components?
@aetsystemsinc.1413
@aetsystemsinc.1413 2 жыл бұрын
Good day, what is the brand of polyurea grease? It will depend on the shear stability of the polyurea grease. If it is a cheaper non shear stable polyurea grease it will not be compatible with any non-polyurea grease, but we can look into it if you can provide the brand. Thank you

@@aetsystemsinc.1413 Actually, this is a used tractor that I just purchased. The previous owner told me that he is currently using valvoline general purpose amber grease. I took it for granted that he would be precisely following the recommendations found in the tractor manual which called for polyurea grease. Does that help?

@@daveistre Based on this information you will not have any issues upgrading to LI400. The grease currently in your tractor is fully compatible with LI400.

Hi, first of all grat video series many usfull info. I still have a question witch i couldnt find answer. What kind of grease use for pneumatic cylinders and valves? Witch is gonna be safe for rubber sealings and witch nlg class?
@aetsystemsinc.1413
@aetsystemsinc.1413 3 жыл бұрын
it will depend on the pneumatic cylinders and valves, typically a pneumatic lubricant oil is used to provide lubrication to pneumatic parts. If you google pneumatic oil there are alot of options, now if the owners manual calls for a grease it should also specify the grade of grease. Great Question
@zlodziob
@zlodziob 3 жыл бұрын
@@aetsystemsinc.1413 Yes in systems with central lubrication systems oil is used and its usualy not a problem to get propper one. But in case of average size production maschines based on, for exapmple, festo/ smc/ schunk pneymatic component its not sometching that is in use. Those are greased with plastic grase. From my experience simple regreasing can give it secont life but question witch kind of grease will not negatively infuence those rubber components.

@@zlodziob Yes, now, we understand your situation. you would be looking for a fluid 0-ring neutral grease. In this case it is recommended that you use a NLGI grade 1 to 1.5 in a full synthetic that is rated O-ring neutral. One of our greases that fits this requirement is KH150. Here is a link to that product lube-shuttle.us/airtec-kh150-full-synthetic-grease/

Hello, I live in Alaska and have a compact tractor, with mower deck, Backhoe, an RV, and ATV. I am thinking your Li400 sounds like a great option, but my concern is the cold. While we rarely run our equipment colder than -20F sometimes there is a need. Would the Li400 still be a good choice?
@aetsystemsinc.1413
@aetsystemsinc.1413 3 жыл бұрын
Good Day Li400 will be a great option for you. The nano ceramic additive in LI400 is specifically designed for harsh environments with extreme variations in temperature, pressure, and use cycles (seasonal operation). Nano and micro ceramic greases are something we are globally known for and have had excellent success in regions in Russia, Siberia, and Northern Japan where conditions are similar or in some cases much colder than Alaska. The main reason we stand apart from competitors is that the ceramic additives leave a coating on the metal surfaces that reduces friction, prevents wear and corrosion in temperatures ranging from -100F to well over 2000F.

@@aetsystemsinc.1413 my dealer used polyurea on my compact tractor on setup, I've ordered your system with the li400 and it's on its way, but I know they are not compatible thickeners. Any recommendations since the started the tractors initial setup with polyurea? Grease more often?
@aetsystemsinc.1413
@aetsystemsinc.1413 3 жыл бұрын
@@wolf0994 Compatibility will depend on whether the Polyurea grease used by your dealer is rated "shear stable" If it is rate shear stable then it is fully compatible with LI400. However, lets assume it is not rated shear stable. Watch your fittings and bushings careful for the first few services, typically what will happen is one grease will destabilize and run out of the fitting/bearing/bushing. If you see this then it is recommended to grease more often until a high percentage of the grease in the fitting is LI400, typically this is few greasing cycles.

@@aetsystemsinc.1413 thank you kindly, they gave me a tube of the kubota brand polyurea when they delivered the tractor and it does say shear stable on it. So that makes me more relaxed. Thank you again.

Thank you, this has been very educational. I'm seriously considering switching over to your Lube Shuttle grease gun and grease(s), but I have a question - what do you consider to be the shelf life for your greases, opened and unopened, if there's a difference. I keep my current grease gun in a heavy-duty zip lock bag just to keep grease that has started running out of the grease gun from going all over my shelves and garage floor (and me, for that matter). It makes me question how good the current greases I've used (polyurea and lithium based) really are when they all seep profusely once a few weeks of mere garage heat has hit them. I have no issue with paying the extra money for your top grease if it will really perform optimally for all of my applications (mower deck spindles, ZTR castor spindles, boat and utility trailer wheel bearings, u-joints, ball joints, steering linkages, and other automobile chassis stuff applied through grease zerks). Thanks in advance!

Good Day, we would recommend LI400 to cover all your applications. Here is the link advancedenginetech.com/product/airtec_li400_hightemp/ The shelf life for closed containers is indefinite as they are sealed and the shelf life for the open container is 1 year minimum. All our greases are extremely stable as they are made with the highest quality base oils and thickeners, we have no doubt you will be please with the quality of our products.
