I really love the parallels these two themes have, and it makes the breakdown of this mashup *glorious.* The way the songs are structured so similarly, with drastically different messages makes it sound like Sonic is trying to reach out to Infinite, like he doesn't have to continue this way, and that he doesn't have to define himself of the pain of his past, while Infinite is trying to constantly deflect, attempting to make Sonic feel the same misery they felt for so long. (hoo boy that sounded edgy, but hey, ig that's what I get for trying to talk abt INFINITE of all people lol).
