Vince, you're one of the few pro-traders on youtube/social media that ALWAYS keeps it real. Studying losses is equally important to studying wins. Best thing I did for my trading career was joining your discord community. Appreciate you always keeping the toxic stuff out of the chat and sticking to business! I feel like I've grown more in the past year in your discord than I have in the past 5 years of trading. Just wanted to take a minute to show credit where due. Talk soon boss!

Love this video. It helped solidify my thinking . I did jump around with techniques and certain stocks I am comfortable. Your stating this helps solidify it in my mind.

Break and retest has become my goto as well…. These videos are great though, as a reminder. I’m getting better but it is still really easy for me to get discouraged. Especially when I’ve had several profitable weeks on demo and then switch back to live and am starting out red. Lol… I review at the end of the day, and it reminds me that I didn’t follow my entry requirements for the strategy. And that was why my trades failed…. Also looking forward to being back in SE Asia, again next week, so I no longer have to struggle with dragging my self out of bed at 5:30am to to do premarket prep.

TSLA had bad news from China, I bought puts at open, stopped out, I bought it again lost again. I bought calls, stop loss too tight , lost again.

I usually play spreads on TSLA. I do better that way instead of buy call or buy puts

If a level breaks, retests, and fails a bit but get right back above would you still take the trade? Or does it have to hold strong on the retest?
@VincentDesiano2 жыл бұрын
It can get a little tricky as it floats around that key level you’re trying to trade off of! The cleanest retests are typically the strongest trades. At times, it will break below, get back above & then continue. This happens often & is usually the reason for me taking small losers as I keep stops very tight! Unfortunately nothing in trading is binary, always situational! Focus on reading the candles to see whether you think the retest holds strong even after a small slip of the level. Hope this helps.

thank u....i'm def getting too emotional when i get no momentum on good setups I've been patiently waiting for. Then I take a break or just walk away and miss the trade soon after that would've worked, making me even more upset.

My trading strategy is entirely based on prior levels. I only trade ES. I often wonder what is going to happen, or if I would even have a strategy, we were making all time highs every day. Open air, how do you know what your targets are? etc.
