Good points. Did I NEED an OP-Z, probably not but it was super cheap & now I have a decent drum sampler/synth sketch pad/sequencer that I use almost every day to build up tracks & have fun.

True, man. Once I got Ableton and Push 2 I felt like I don't really NEED anything, but at the end of the day I don't alway want to make music tucked away in my studio room. On top of that, I very rarely enjoy the process as much if I have to grab a mouse/trackpad or qwerty keyboard a lot in the process. Mouse/qwerty makes me feel like I'm doing homework sometimes haha. I've pretty much figured out my hardware that I enjoy enough to use for certain uses, but it's taken trial and error. I still want to try Digitakt II but I'm almost sure I'll like it because I know what I want to use it for. Good points overall.
