Don't waste your time looking for beaches in Cebu City... there are MANY more beautiful beaches in Cebu province and surrounding islands.

I agree! You have to travel about 3 hours away from the city to get a good beach. Next time I visit I will plan for that.

lots of hidden public beach to north and south have nice beaches that are quietly keep secret. Most local vloggers usually know them either post on Insta or FB pages that's how I know some of them 😁. But if you're looking for beach that isn't far, go for Mactan Island. Most of the resorts have nice beaches. You can just pay day pass and your allowed to use their pool and beach. I recommend Solea Resort. Day pass I think 600 per person that's like equivalent $10 bucks, it's pretty much the same paying most of California beach paying the parking lot to get into the beach.
