good skills mate … the reason i’ve been to pattaya ‘one and done’ was never found anyone i world click with … chiang Mai totally different game. two big universities in the city and trail running and hiking communities are epic. i would meet friends (thai and foreign) daily while running and a very fun experience hooking up on trails and cooling off in waterfalls and all round a super healthy lifestyle.

You ask for suggestions of places to go in northern Thailand. You should go to Nan. My girlfriend of eight years is from there. We live in the States and our plan is to retire there in another 5 years where she owns several properties. I have been there several times and the food is unbelievable, the night markets are great, plenty of temples and the industry of salt mining may be a good clip for you tube. A good place for a nightly outing would be a place called “Tree park” or Bo Kluea district.😊
