Two facts you left out of the baht bus - they can divert from what one might believe is their route (just get off and get another), and they run on Soi Buakhao in two directions. Also, traveling from Bangkok, many pre-hire a car with driver, price includes all tolls. These are often referred to as a taxi, but no taxi signage. Just let them know what size vehicle you may need (sedan or SUV). Your Soi 6 map/bar names are in reverse - you show them running west to east, but they should be turned 180 degrees to run east to west (actually turn the map). Some of the bars have long since changed names - EG: Maresatis (this was actually a misspelling of Maseratis) is now Benders and Cooters was split in half the other half is called WetSix). I believe hours are now 2pm-2am. Just a general food preference - Thai BBQ.

I see this and the Bangkok are a new formula for you. It's the answer. You now have the best travel vids on Thailand. Loved the Sin City movie reference. You are becoming the Anthony Bourdain of Thailand travel videos at this rate. I did not know there was a train to Pattaya. I have done the bus from Ekamai and people should know....at the wrong time of day it takes seemingly forever to get out of the city. Do not travel late afternoon.. I'm not sure why I did but it won't happen again. Thanks for saying there is a toilet on the bus. If I should ever feel the need to go to P-city again I will investigate the train or leave from Ekamai very early am. When money is not an issue the private taxi/driver is the way to go. Door to door. Comfort. It's not a lot of money really.

Well so many inaccuracies in this video, to mention just some of them (from the beginning, I haven't wasted my time to watch the whole thing): 1. there are many other ways to travel (not mentioned here) between Bangkok and Pattaya, many small minivan companies starting from all Bangkok areas (not just the Ekamai bus station) arriving to Pattaya to different more convenient locations like next to Central Festival for example. 2. Bahtbuses are the most convenient means of transportation (10 baht a ride = about 30 cents US at the current exchange rate) indeed BUT are not covering all the destinations, not even close! For example no baht buses to train of bus stations (both main bust stations - the one that buses to Bangkok and other mayor cities in Thailand and even Cambodia are starting from, nor the Nakonchai Air bus station) unless One uses a "Bahtbus" as a taxi and pays the taxy tariff of course (and has to negotiate much longer than simpy taking a taxi or a motorbike taxi when just going around the city without the luggage). 3.A taxi from Pattaya back to the Suvarnabhumi airport is cheaper than from the airport (usually when going back home), can be negotiated from 800 to 1000 THB (less than $30)- do You want to go to the airport with all Your luggage using a bus and first have to get to the bus station while the taxi will pick You at Your hotel (and if You are a smoker maybe allow You to smoke) and will arrive 10 minutes or more faster + waiting time for the bus to start + hassle to move the luggage in the heat, and Bus service stops at 9 p.m. so if You have an early morning flight do you really want to spend the last night of Your holidays at the airport? I do use the bus from Suvarnabhumi to Pattaya though.

During my longest stay in Pattaya - 18 months - the only people I interacted with other than the Thais ans Cambodians were English speakers, mainly Brits; a few northern Europeans and some of my fellow Aussies. The Russians and Indians have their own communities and the Chinese and Korean tour groups just wander up and down Walking St staring at the neon madness. I suspect that the Chinese have a much bigger foothold in Pattaya businesses post-pandemic.

Rabbit Resort is at the bottom of Soi 4 Pratumnak. There is NO BAHT BUS THERE and a long steep hill walk to and from the resort...to get to a bahtbus route 😮.
