Do you think that the situation remains the same today versus when you made this video? I think it'd be reasonable to assume that a lot of newly unemployed people might be considering ESL teaching as an option post-pandemic...

How awesome! You know, Galego and Portuguese (my mother-tongue) are pretty much alike. Can you speak a little bit of it? How long were you there?

Eu fallo muito pouco galego, pero gosto muito (I write this without checking spelling!!)...I was there for my first year of teaching after doing my CELTA. I did my degree in Spanish and French so picked up a little Gallego. Boa sorte!

How about jobs for non-natives who hold an IELTS with a band score of 8 or 9? what do you recommend? By the way, thank you for all the info you offer and your great videos; on top of that your awesome mood and peace.

That's a good question, Majid. I'm not sure but I guess it would be that much easier with such a high level, although experience and qualifications go a long way, too. If you go on and study more (like a DELTA or equivalent) then you can possibly look at jobs in universities in anglophone countries, like an EAP tutor. They pay well and are a good way into the university sector, which is for me the best place to work in education. Otherwise, I am not too sure. Good luck!
