Mk3.5 cabby is a great find, loads bits adapt to mk3, got stuff for past projects from them. Great donor for older golfs. And it has cruise, nice retrofit too Hopefully will find one next trip

Yep, black visors, chrome door pulls, chrome seat belt mounts, chrome door latch bolts, dimple dash, carpet, and wheel, are the common snags from a mk3.5

Those MK3.5 Cabrios are gold. Mk4 rear brakes and integrated-bearing-hub spindles IIRC; along with ebrake cables that actually fit. Greate for MK2 swappage. Oh, and the chrome door pulls

Oooohhhh, you took it. Like that cluster. Wery nice golf... I have mk4 it’s lowered and everything is stock. It’s 6 speed 85kw. I drove it in Germany Autobahn 220km/h, 4000rpm, in 6. gear. I don’t know how much that is in miles. I’m thinking to make one mk2 or mk3 as a weekend car... Like your black mk2 so much. Good work man💪🏻🇩🇪

yes 220km is 138mph very nice. You will love a small light nimble mk2. Very fun

@@JakeRawSon I forgot to say my mk4 is TDI😃 red D and I. In my country we can’t put another engines in our cars. Only from factory. So maybe I’ll tune this one. I’m a big fan of golfs from mk1 to mk5. I saw mk4 that can be tuned up to 360hp and so much Nm of torque. My car factory is 295 Nm. Like your videos. Maybe factory GTI I’ll look for it🤔😉

a castle nut is what they're usually referred to as - and definitely keep those wheels around (even as a spare set), they look great, are period correct and not something you see anymore! Good find on the dimple dash and cluster too!!

Yep I jumped D8 to E2. I used the harness from this car going down to the CE2 box with the cluster. If you google MK3 clocks in MK2 Dash a bunch of stuff comes up. Hope this helps

Yep the mk3.5 has loads and loads of bits for mk2's and mk3's checkout my channel as I've used SO many parts off the mk3.5 on my Golf mk3 project with a Polo Open Air roof, keys and even the hazard switch in the dash and not on top of the steering wheel. Did you take the wiring for the sun visors? Those are cool.

@@JakeRawSon lol go back! plus check out the door strikers, they are chrome as standard as are the bolts, plus the boot or trunk one as well, plus plus the front lower seat belt bars. check out my car, I ever use the key as it's a mk4 style key.
