Catching the replay. Yes, walked through the fear! The day before I left the US was the worst day for me fear wise on all kinds of levels. I was almost paralyzed with confusion and fear. My wonderful son, primarily (who was taking me to the airport the next morning) and the ExodUS community talked me "off the ledge", lol, and I am forever grateful for the support.

I'm from VA and she hit the nail on the head with how I like towns. I love quaint, walkable with lots of little shops near the water. I need that sunlight too. Porto was much more my speed.

Hey! there! I'm new to your channel. I've lived the expat life 3 times. I came back because of some family stuff. I went back to where I living and working. I started journey in mid 40's. It's never too late! Currently, I'm researching where I want to go next. I'm 56 now! Thank you so much for having these conversations, giving encouragement, and putting important information out there. xo

Awesome conversation! THANK YOU for sharing these wonderful stories w/all of these beautiful black women living abroad, Adalia. 22:10 You're so right DeBora, you're so right, family (for me) have been the last folks to support me stepping outside of my comfort zone and moving over 1000 miles away. I'm over 50 and I have this itch to get out of the US! I have 5 years to 'retire' and receive steady monthly income, my mindset is already preparing me to be an ex-pat.

Looooooved everything about this interview. Thank you ladies. I related to soooooo much of what you have stated: Age, dating, independence, loner, “see people live their lives”…Been in Belize for almost a year, and now it’s as though the year-long engagement is time to transition into a marriage: What will be home? I am still torn. Do I liquidate everything in the States or do I simply go back and forth?

👋🏽 Hi Adalia, So happy to have found your page. A wealth of information and encouragement! I'm studying all your videos and making a "to do" list. Thank you for all hard the work you've put in to each video. Im wondering have you covered the topic of what it's like to be black and plus sized while living abroad?- And countries tend to be more welcoming to big girls. I'm just beginning my search and I was disappointed to find many countries are fatphobic.
