Awesome podcast! I need all the tree monitor info I can get. Especially humidity and minimum night temps. Very interesting to hear you let yours drop to 50% at times

Only when I’m in a dry period and that’s just more or less high level The lower levels and microclimates will always be 80% or more I have humid hides So they can pick But yeah sometimes I don’t spray for 2/3 days in my dry time (like 2 months) But making sure the whole cage isn’t that low is key Only the air higher in the hotter part of the enclosure It’s hard to remember these little details when just Rambling of the Top of my head! But yeah mine don’t stay 70/80% all over year round like some say to do But again it’s about creating microclimates so no matter what they can find what they need! And when mine are 50% it’s a day spike or low rather If I spray they stay at 90-80-70% for then a few days slowly decreasing Then can retreat to the microclimates as needed If that makes sense 😅

Parker is incorrect about FL. FL was the first state in the US to be entirely clear cut. If you see an animal or plant in FL it is most likely invasive. They drained the Everglades in the 1930’s to create more farmland and it became desert like. One of the first instances of human awareness of the environment and what makes it tick. Fun fact! The Everglades is the largest natural area in the eastern US and it is completely computer controlled since the 1960’s. And they only had data for the programming back to the early 1900’s.
