I played an arrogant Tabaxi in a similar way once. He believed he was directly descended from the Maztican Cat Lord. He was fiercely protective of his home and the party and anyone he promised to help, because they became his people by extension.

It's so painful when Mark blatantly gives an opening for the party to tell an NPC what is needed to make something to detect the corrupted lights. I keep yelling at them, and they just cannot hear me. This is not the first episode where he has had a character fish for this information. Oh, finally Thom remembered. I wonder if those missing guild members could be in the house of the priestess since it is owned by one of the guild. Both the priestess and the guild member conveniently gave the party quests taking them out of the city where they could be easily killed.

We are nowhere near done with this. And i dont know what they have planed but if i were mark. I would have the grave emperor refuse to ressurect Ophelia. …. Without changes. Ophelia delarosa of the house of blood is dead to return she needs to be somewhat reforged. WETHER its as simple as no longer a damphir but a mummy or Even a complete respec. No longer human but say Dwarf, no longer female but male, no longer a barbarian but a paladin. But at bear minimum no longer allowed in the house of blood. That Woman is dead. Maybe Even a New name. Whats dead is dead what somes back canot be the same Even if the spirit and memory is the same. That is the rules of the emperor of graves.
