How do you know which SOHCAHTOA formula to use? You simplified it by saying you were only given the other sides, but you could've used Pythagoras to determine the hypotenuse's value. Is there a rule where you don't use hypotenuse for angles? I thought the angle had to be using the two sides surrounding it.

There are many ways to solve it,use the one that suits you, but for this particular one u are not using Pythagoras theorem since you are looking for an angle not a side.

Was this cucullated properly, because for me; (tan-1 ( 4/18)= 4.220208696 ≈ 4.2) and I don't know if that's just because DEG mode is wrong
